All of these can be used in different contexts, and each one gives a slightly different nuance to the request. Here’s how they work: Help me, will you? – This sounds like a polite request or suggestion, expecting a positive response. Help me, won't you? – This is more of a gentle request or rhetorical question, often used when the speaker assumes the person will agree. Help me, can you? – This asks about the listener's ability to help, more focused on their capacity to assist. Help me, can't you? – This implies the speaker thinks the listener is able to help and may be gently pushing for a response or action. Help me, could you? – This is a very polite and formal way to ask for help, focusing on the possibility of the listener helping. So, the right tag depends on how polite, formal, or direct you want to sound. In most everyday conversations, "will you?" and "won't you?" are the most commonly used.
