Kremenets is also called Volyn Switzerland. Even the Polish guidebooks wrote that Queen Bona's castle offers the best view in the Polish state. Bona Mountain offers a wonderful view of the city and its surroundings. In the distance you can see the Pochaiv Lavra. From it, you can clearly see Mount Chercha, which is covered with forest almost to the very top. The ruins of the castle of Queen Bona are the main attraction of Kremenets and they are located in an extremely picturesque place. The ascent to the mountain takes about an hour (from the city center), as you have to go around rather large areas of buildings. Of course, you can try to get to the fortress directly along the steep slopes. But in any case, it is worth climbing the mountain in order to feel the continuity of time in the middle of the ruins, as well as to enjoy the beautiful landscape - Kremenets is right here in the palm of your hand.

Zbaraz castle is one of the most picturesque and best-preserved fortresses in the Ternopil region. Castle is a beautiful example of a palace-defense structure. In the center of the complex is the residence of the princes: two-story palace built in the Renaissance style. Casemates are adjacent to the palace. Once there were barracks, stables and warehouses for gunpowder and weapons. At one time, the Zbarazh castle was considered one of the strongest fortification complexes in this area. A fairly wide and deep moat with water ran around the defensive rampart. There are dungeons under the castle, which today have not yet been completely cleared and fortified. Among the underground passages and rooms there is a tunnel to a well at a depth of about 10-15 meters and a strange round room. According to one version, stocks of gunpowder were stored here, which could blow up the entire castle in case its defenders were defeated. Today, the Zbaraz castle is an important museum and is considered an architectural monument of national importance. A beautiful panorama of the city can be seen from the castle hill.
