Be looking for trouble. Another use of look for is in the expression be looking for trouble. Meaning: to behave in a way that is likely to cause problems, arguments, or even a fight. Example: I wouldn’t do that if I were you… you’re just looking for trouble if you do it. Parking in his space is just looking for trouble. So, when someone is looking for trouble, they are acting in a way that will almost certainly get them into difficulty.
