How the Grinch Stole Christmas

(A short English play for primary school

(Soft Christmas music. The Veprykland children are decorating a Christmas tree.)

Narrator:

In the town of Veprykland, the residents were very happy.
They loved Christmas more than any other day of the year,.

Everyone was busy decorating and singing carols.

У містечку Веприкленд усі були надзвичайно щасливі.
Вони любили Різдво більше за будь-який інший день у році.
Усі метушилися, прикрашали домівки ялинковими гірляндами,
співали колядки й готувалися до великого свята.

But there was someone who didn’t like Christmas at all…
It was the Grinch, who lived on the mountain above VEPRYKLAND.

Але був хтось, хто зовсім не радів Різдву…
То був Ґрінч — зелений сердитюк, який жив на високій горі
над Веприклендом
