Tема : Музичні уподобання .

Мета : Практикувати учнів у читанні тексту  з метою отримання  загального

уявлення та точного і повного розуміння усієї інформації, що в

ньому міститься ..

Розвивати навички аудіювання .

Вчити учнів висловлюватись про свої музичні уподобання,

улюбленого співака, музичну групу .

Виховувати любов до музики.                                                                           

Обладнання : Роздатковий матеріал, вікторина «Pop Music Quiz», підручник музичні уривки для  прослуховування  .

T : We are going to talk about your favourite music,  musicians,  singers  and pop groups . By the end of the lesson you should be able :

-to talk about your favourite music, musicians, singers and pop groups

- to identify main ideas and details from the texts  for reading and listening .

* Who was the king of Rock and Roll from the 30^th to the 70^th ? ( Elvis Presley )

* Which city  in England did the BEATLES come from? ( Liverpool )

*What is` rap` ? ( It is a musical style in which the singer speaks or shouts the words in strong rhythm ) .

* What is ` reggae` ? ( It is west Indian popular music and dance with strong rhythm) .

The Beatles

The Beatles became nationally  famous in England in October 1962, when their first single record, LOVE ME DO , entered the Hit Parade at number 27. The famous four who recorded that song were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr .

The Beatles began with a series of lunchtime concerts at Liverpool`s Cavern Club . The girls who worked at nearby shops and offices came to see the Beatles during lunch break . Brian Epstein who ran the local record shop became the Beatles manager . During the sixties, it seemed that the Beatles were always in the news headlines . They made successful records and interesting films . Lennon caused anti-Beatles demonstrations in America by saying that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ . When Epstein died in 1967, things began to be wrong for the Beatles` industry . During the seventies, the Beatles went off in different directions . Lennon became a solo performer and speculator in New York,

buying and selling expensive apartments . McCartney formed a group called

“Wings” George Harrison was rarely seen . Ringo Starr began a successful career

as a film star .

American Jazz

Americans have contributed to many art forms, but jazz, a type of music, is the

only art form that was created in the United States . Jazz was created by  black Americans .

Jazz is a mixture of many different kinds of music. It is a combination of the music of West America, the work songs the slaves sang, and religious music .

Jazz bands formed in the late 1800s . Improvisation is an important part of jazz.

Today people from all over the world play jazz . Jazz musicians from the United States, Asia, Africa, South America and Europe meet and share their music at festivals on every continent . In this way jazz continues to grow and change .
