“DOING SHOPPING”

Урок 1

Цілі: формування та вдосконалювати лексичні навики ( введення ЛО; newspapers, magazine, medicine, sell, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, baker’s, chemist’s); розвивати фонетичний слух, логічне мислення, пам’ять; розширювати кругозір та ерудикцію учнів; виховувати  почуття поваги до людей різних професій.

Обладнення: підручник, вірш «Oranges…», словник «Merriam-Webster Dictionary», наочність, роздавальний матеріал, таблиці, малюнки.

T. Glad to meet you. How are you?

What a nice day.

Підготовка до введення теми.

Аудіювання мови вчителя.

Дізнаватися та назвати тему уроку; виділити та зрозуміти нові лексичні одиниці до теми.

(Розповідаючи, вчитель вказує на малюнки, які можуть допомогти учням здогадатися значення слів).

T.  I like to help my mum. And yesterday, I went to the newsagent’s and bought a newspaper and a magazine there. Then I went to the chemist’s and bought some medicine, a toothpaste, a piece of soap and shampoo. At the baker’s I bought  bread, cakes and buns. At the butcher’s I bought meat, chickens and sausages.

Guessing game

(Учні відгадують ( перекладають) нові слова, які вчитель використовує у розповіді)

T. Read the list of words then write them down into 4 columns. Write what you can buy at baker’s, newsagent’s, chemist’s, clothes.

Medicine, magazines, jeans, newspapers, shampoo, postcards, toothpaste, coat, pens, biscuits, copybooks, cakes, soap, badge, pies, trousers, bread, hats, rolls.

Ps. a) read$;b) write down into 4 columms; c) read aloud.

(penny – pence ( мн.), pound).

T. Well pupils, in our song you came across the word “pence”. Guess the the meaning. You are right.

Penny is singular: but pence is plural, means “a lot”. 5 pence, 10 pence etc. pound [paund] means « фунт стерлінгів».

Look at the blackboard and match pairs of word. (See Card 2 ).
