T: Good morning! I’m glad to see you. Let’s start our lesson. I hope you’ll be creative and active during our today’s lesson.

T: Today we’re going to visit a few greatest museums . We’ll get to know some interesting facts about their locations and exhibits/

T: Your homework was to prepare a short information about modern artists, sculptors, architects.
2. Now we are going to read a presentation about the greatest museums of the world. But before readings let’s get acquainted with some new words/
1) Pre-reading Activities
1. T: Read the new words and their definitions. Make some sentences with these words.
1. to exhibit |
to show something in a public place for people to enjoy or to give them information; |

things such as buildings, statues, or coins that were made in ancient times and have survived to the present day |

- Look at the first slide. What can you see on this picture? (Louvre). What do you know about this museum? Where is it situated? What is the greatest exhibits of this museum? (Venus de Milo, Jioconda).
- Now we are visiting Egyptian Museum. How many items of Egyption antiquities are there in this museum?
- What are Vatican Museums famous for?
- Where is Metropolitan Museum situated?
- When was the British Museum established?
- Whom was the Hermitage founded by in 1764?
- Where is the National Palace Museum situated
3. During the next task we will plunge into the English Grammar. We will talk about the infinitive
Перегляд навчального відео про інфінітив. Після перегляду учні переказують основні правила вживання to – інфінітиву та “bare” інфінітиву.
Наступне завдання на засвоєння правил вживання інфінітиву:

4. Your hometask for the next lesson is to make up 7 sentences with to-infinitive and 7 sentences with a bare infinitive/
