Урок розрахований для учнів 5 класу (1й рік навчання,підручник To The Top 1A) з метою узагальнення вивченного матеріалу за поданою темою,а саме: як діти можуть повідомити про себе та предмети навколо, вживаючи цифри, назви країн, тощо, а також здобувату інформацію,ставлячи запитання.

Відкритий урок у 5 класі за темою  School life

(« Шкільне життя»)

Старший вчитель - Білоусова М.С.

 

Functions:

       - greeting and introducing oneself;

       - identifying numbers from 1-12;

       - identifying  countries, nationalities; asking for and giving personal information;  identifying classroom objects.

       - practising speaking skills.

Equipment: CD player, cards with numbers, pictures of the English-speaking countries.

Plan:

  1. Organising  spell: T-Class

Morning!  Stand straight! Nice to see you.  You can take your seats!

 

  1. Warming up: T-S1

 I hope you are ok today , anyway,answer:

How are you? (T-Ss)

(Typical answers: I am fine, thank you. I am ok. I am great. I am super. I am so- so. I am bad.)

The T changes the question: How is your friend? How is your mum?

(Ss ask each other in a chain : She is ok/He is super).

 

  1. Presentation: Well. Let’s introduce ourselves in English!

What is your name? (Ss take turns to introduce themselves).

 

Well. Look at the pictures and  name the countries! (T shows the pictures of the English-speaking countries, Ss  repeat the names of the countries after the T : Great Britain, The USA, Australia, etc. ).

 

  1. Practising :

Where are you from?

Now, we can answer this question! T gives out the pictures with the countries, one S comes out and asks the Ss: Where are you from?  )

           OK , great! Now I want  you to name the numbers!

Listen to the CD and read the numbers! (from 1-12).

What number is this? (T asks Ss  - the cards with numbers, Ss answer.)

 

OK. Now we are ready to do the sums in English!

(One S works at the board, the rest of Ss work in their exercise books)

10-6=…… (ten minus six is….)

5+2=…….(five plus two is….)

3+7=……(three plus seven is…..)

8-4= ……(eight minus four is…..)

 

  Ok. So I see you can tell me your phone number!

What’s your phone number? (T-Class)

And one more question: How old are you? ( Ss work in pairs).

 Let’s have a break!  Stand up! Listen to my instructions! (Ss stand up  and do the exercises together with the T ).

Sleep!  Wake up!  Swim!  Fly!  Run!  Dance!

Touch your nose! Touch your head! Touch your legs! Sit down!

( Ss sit down)

 

Well, now look around the classroom and say what school objects you can see!

What is it? ( a door, a window, a chair, a desk, a board, a bin)

 Show me the door! Show me   a window! ( Ss point to the door and so on)

Now, look at your desks and say what school objects you can see there!

(a ruler, a school bag, a pencil case, a book, a text book, a pen, a pencil, a rubber, a sharpener, an apple, an orange)

What is this? It’s a (an)….

( S1 comes out, Ss close their eyes. The S1 takes any school object, the class should guess what it is. Ss ask in a turn: Is it a pen? Is it an apple? Etc.  (Ss –S1)).

5.  Production:   Ok. Let ‘s   revise all the questions of the lesson! I need one student to come out and  you should ask him all the questions! ( Ss anwer)

6. Summing up. Thank you for the lesson! You were great today!

7. Home task: practise the questions; SB, p.13 (5)
