Equipment: CD player, cards with numbers, pictures of the English-speaking countries.
Plan:
Morning! Stand straight! Nice to see you. You can take your seats!
I hope you are ok today , anyway,answer:
How are you? (T-Ss)
(Typical answers: I am fine, thank you. I am ok. I am great. I am super. I am so- so. I am bad.)
The T changes the question: How is your friend? How is your mum?
(Ss ask each other in a chain : She is ok/He is super).
What is your name? (Ss take turns to introduce themselves).
Well. Look at the pictures and name the countries! (T shows the pictures of the English-speaking countries, Ss repeat the names of the countries after the T : Great Britain, The USA, Australia, etc. ).
Where are you from?
Now, we can answer this question! T gives out the pictures with the countries, one S comes out and asks the Ss: Where are you from? )
OK , great! Now I want you to name the numbers!
Listen to the CD and read the numbers! (from 1-12).
What number is this? (T asks Ss - the cards with numbers, Ss answer.)
OK. Now we are ready to do the sums in English!
(One S works at the board, the rest of Ss work in their exercise books)
10-6=…… (ten minus six is….)
5+2=…….(five plus two is….)
3+7=……(three plus seven is…..)
8-4= ……(eight minus four is…..)

( S1 comes out, Ss close their eyes. The S1 takes any school object, the class should guess what it is. Ss ask in a turn: Is it a pen? Is it an apple? Etc. (Ss –S1)).
5. Production: Ok. Let ‘s revise all the questions of the lesson! I need one student to come out and you should ask him all the questions! ( Ss anwer)
