Цілі:
Навчальна: поглиблення знань учнів про важливу роль захисту довкілля;збагачення та закріплення лексико-граматичного матеріалу даної теми.
Практична: тренування у вживанні набутих граматичних знань( should, should not );розвиток навичок комунікативного спілкування, тренування шляхом діалогічного та монологічного мовлення;стимулювання в учнів інтересу та підтримка мотивації в оволодінні мовленнєвою діяльністю на уроках англ.мови.
Розвивальна: розвивати пізнавальні інтереси учнів до використання новітніх технологій;розвивати пам'ять,і швидку реакцію та здогадку в учнів.
Виховна: виховувати любов та повагу до природи, навколишнього середовища, бажання змінити екологію на краще.
Обладнання: мультимедійний проектор та дошка, малюнки із видами забруднення, відео кліп Альоша “Sweet People”.

Хід уроку.
I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.
1. Привітання.
Teacher: Good morning, children.
Class: Good morning, teacher.
T.: Nice to see you.

T.: Sit down, please.
Cl.: Thank you.
2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
T.: Today the topic of our lesson is “Lets Save Our Planet”. Our tasks are: to remember all kinds of pollutions; to listen to the thoughts of scientists, journalists and ministers about ecological problems in our country and abroad. You’ll get lots of interesting information about pollutions on our lesson. So let’s start.
3. Перевірка домашнього завдання.
T.: Your hometask for today was rather interesting but difficult. You had to make a booklet on the topic “How to Save Our Planet”. But we should check it up at the end of the lesson.
II. Основна частина уроку.
1.Розвиток навичок діалогічного мовлення.
T.: Now two of your classmates will represent a dialogue and your task is to understand what are they?
A Dialogue:
The Earth: Oh, I’m short of air now!
A Man: Why? What’s wrong with you?
The Earth: Factories polluted the air. I want to drink but I can’t because all the water is dirty.
A Man: We should stop polluting the water!
The Earth: Please, help me! I need food but everything is poisoned now.
A Man: Oh we can all die soon.
The Earth: You shouldn’t ruin this beautiful world!
A Man: I see. We must save the world!
Teacher: Thank you. So class, what are they?
Class: The Earth and the man.
T.: As we can see the Earth is in danger. Our task is to save it.
2. Розвиток навичок усного мовлення.
T.: Today we have three groups of pupils: scientists, journalists and ministers. They can help us to solve this problem. And now it’s time for our scientists.

S.1: We tried to find out what are the main pollutions in the world. The first one is water pollution. It can be polluted by the acid rains, wastes of plants and wastes of ships.
S.2: The second global problem is air pollution. It can be caused by the fumes of cars, smog of fires, wastes of plants.
S.3: The third pollution is soil pollution and it’s connected with littering. All the chemicals ruin the soil and can enter the food. And the last one is light pollution. We should save our electricity.
T.: Thank you. Now it’s time for our journalists.

J.1: We have a list of problems of protections which we made at school. We asked pupils and teachers. So the main problem is littering. We should put more wastebins and take the litter to the landfill.

J.2: Soon we can be short of electricity. That’s why we should turn off the light after leaving, work less on computers, use save lamps and save electricity!

J.3: We should stop killing fish by the dirty waters. We should put some hidden video cameras in the city banks of the river and punish those who will pollute the water.

J.1: We should stop cutting down the trees, because they are our lungs. They give us lots of oxygen.

J.2: We should stop breathing with fumes of cars; it leads to a cancer of lungs. We should stop using chemicals and plastic package. We should stop making a fire in the forest.
J.3: The ways of protections are quite simple:

T.: Thank you for the information. As we can see we have many problems. Now I advise you to have a little rest and watch a video clip on a very famous song “Sweet People” by Alyosha. While listening to this song what is it about.

T.: Well, what is this song about?
P.1: This song is about a tragedy in Chernobyl.
T.: Yes, it’s true. Do you like this song?
P.2: Yes, I do. It’s very realistic.
4. Розвиток навичок монологічного мовлення.
T.: Now let’s turn to our group of Ministers of Ecology from abroad. What would you do to save the planet?
M.1: Hello. My name is Roberta. I am from Italy. If I were the leader of my country, I would ban cars because they cause too much air pollution. I hate it when I am riding my bike in the street and I can hardly breathe because of traffic fumes. It makes me feel really ill. Air pollutions cause acid rain, too, which kills trees and plants. I would also improve public transport. People wouldn’t need to use their cars so much then. I think people should walk more often, or use a bicycle, like me! If they did, our cities would be healthier places to live in!
M.2: Hello. My name is Maria. I am from Brazil. If I were the leader of y country, I would stop logging companies from destroying rainforest. It’s terrible the way that animals and rare plants die when the trees disappear. Don’t these companies know that they are not just destroying the trees and the wildlife? They could destroy us all! These produce oxygen, which is one of our most basic needs. One answer to the problem is to make the logging companies plant new trees. If they did that, it could save the rainforest and give us all cleaner air to breathe.

III. Заключна частина уроку.
1. Підбиття підсумків.
T.: So today we have remembered all kinds of pollutions and the ways to stop them. Now, dear guests, the pupils have prepared booklets for you. Take them and look through.

T.: Thank you for the lesson. For the next lesson you should wright a small composition (10-15 sentences) on the topic “Pollutions in My Village”.
