Один з найцікавіших днів у мовному літньому таборі є день, присвячений здоровому харчуванню: ігри, кросворди, дискусії, пісні і на завершення воркшоп "Я - найкращий кухар".
Yummy, Yummy! I’m the best chef
(Science, Art, Maths, Technology, Reading, English)
Objective:
Students will:
Make fruit and vegetable cards before playing this game. Depending on the level of your students, review the names of the fruit and vegetables, adjectives that might describe them and the words for colours, shapes and sizes of the fruit and vegetables. Mix the cards and ask one of the students to take one of them without showing it to the others. Other students might guess the name asking different questions:
To poll which fruit and vegetables students prefer the most, have students make a human graph.
Before starting the activity make five signs. They should say Love it, Like it, It’s OK, Don’t like it, Hate it. Review what each sign means with students. Use gestures and facial expressions to demonstrate the meanings. Tape the signs in five different locations around the classroom.
Tell students when you hold up a fruit or vegetable picture they must walk to the sign that expresses how they feel about that fruit or vegetable. When each student has chosen a sign, ask students under the different categories why they love, like, or hate that particular fruit or vegetable.
The aim of this activity is to choose healthy and unhealthy food and then explain their opinion to others and persuade them.
Tell students they will be creating their own “healthy tasty sandwiches” using different fruit and vegetables. But they should make and design something new and then present their friends.
