My name is Karen and I'm a writer. I love my job because I enjoy telling stories. I write books for children and teenagers, and I also write for a magazine. I usually work at home, but sometimes I go to a café or a park to write.

I get up early in the morning because I work best in the morning. I have breakfast and then I go for a walk with my dog, Toby. After that, I start working. I sit at my desk and I write for about three hours. Then I stop and I have lunch. In the afternoon, I usually do some more writing, but sometimes I go out and meet my friends. They are also writers, so we talk about our work. I nish work at about 6 o'clock. In the evening, I watch TV or read a book.

My name is Carlos and I'm a chef. I work in a restaurant in the city centre. We have a lot of customers, so it's very busy. I like my job, but it's hard work. I work from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., so I

don't have a lot of free time. I usually only have one day o a week. On my day o , I relax at home or I go out with my friends.

In the mornings, I make breakfast for my family. Then I go to work. I usually take the bus because it's quicker than driving. At the restaurant, I check the food and I talk to the other chefs. Then I start cooking. I cook all day, but I usually have a short break in the afternoon. In the evenings, I'm very busy because there are a lot of customers. At about 11 p.m., I nish work and I go home. I'm very tired, so I go straight to bed.

On Saturdays, I usually get up late, but on Sundays I get up early because I help my mother at the market. She sells fruit and vegetables, so I carry the bags and I talk to the customers. In the afternoons, I sometimes watch a football match with my friends, but sometimes I just relax at home.
