Our Team. Today I want to introduce you my team- “Gold Stars”. Our motto is “We are united- we are thebest”. Our team consists of 11 members. We areunited by the fact that we are friends.
Dance. Another thing that unites us is that we go for dancing together. We often performed in different cities and even abroad. We also took prize places.
Each of us is unique. We all are very funny, friendly and kind. Everyone has the whole character and hobby. I will tell you about our members.
. This is Vika. She is the captain of the team. Vika is fun, energetic, kind and sincere. Her favourite hobby is to dance and sometimes she sings. She also likes to listen to music very much.
These are my friends Ulia and Katia. They are very cool, funny, kind and always help me. We spend a lot of time together, walk, sit in a cafe. Our favourite hobby is to take photos. Ulia's favourite hobby is to draw and read. She is very creative. Katia's favourite hobby is to do make-up and she likes to ski.
This is Sonia. She is also my friend. She is smart so she can easily learn. Very often Katya, Ulya Sonia and I go for a walk. Sonia's favourite hobby is to sing.
This is Mykola. I think most of you know him. He is kind and very funny. His favourite hobby is to play the guitar, make songs and sometimes read.
This is Krystia. She is fashionable and interesting. Her favourite hobby is to read and listen to music. In the future she would like to be a fashion designer.
This is Dasha. She is modest but cool. She is good and kind. She likes to draw and walk with her friends.
And this is Yura. He is very funny and he always has a good mood. His favourite hobby is to play computer games and have fun.
This is Illia and Vlad. They are the best friends. Of course, their favorite thing is computer games and walks. And in the future they would like to become programmers.
And this is Illia. He is positive and happy. He is also artistic. He always helps everyone. I think in the future he can become a cool actor.
We are not perfect but we are very funny. Thank you all for your attention!

Teacher. Good afternoon, dear jury, our teams, dear pupils and guests! I am very glad to meet you and welcome you to our meeting. It will be an unusual meeting – a competition between two teams of the pupils of the ninth forms. The participants and fans are the pupils who love and know English.
I wish you good luck and success, our dear pupils. Be very attentive and don’t be afraid, everything will be right.
Now I’d like to introduce our jury to you… I know they judge our competition fairly. They are serious, responsible, friendly. The members of the jury are:
two teachers of English and two pupils.
The teams will be got marks for every task.
The leaders of our contest are four pupils of the eighth form. Let me introduce them … .

Leader1. We hope it'll be rather interesting for you and you'll have a good time .
Leader 2. Every team has its fans. They are classmates, friends.

Leader 4. You will be able to help your team win the contest by doing tasks and getting points which will be added to the score of the team you support.
Leader 1. So, be attentive, listen to all the questions and try to give, the right answers.

(The English proverbs are on the screen. Their Ukrainian equivalents are distributed to the teams.)

(For one proverb the team gets one point)
(The commands receive several sheets of paper, glue. The proverbs are written on them in Ukrainian and English languages. Participants of the teams select Ukrainian equivalents for English proverbs and stick them on paper.)
