A skater is someone who practices ice skating. A swimmer goes in for swimming. A boxer is someone who boxes, especially as a job. A skier is someone who moves on skis for sport. A wrestler is someone who takes part in wrestling. A footballer goes in for football. A speed skater is someone who takes part in skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. A fencer is someone who fights with a long thin sword as a sport.

A chess player is a person who plays chess. A basketballer goes in for basketball. A tennis player plays tennis. An athlete goes in for athletics. A goalkeeper is a player in a sports team whose job is to try to stopthe ball going into the goal. A draughtsman is someone whose job is to draw all the parts of new building or machine that is being planned. A cyclist is someone who rides a bicycle. A gymnast is good at gymnastic and competes against other people in gymnastic competitions.
