T: Today we continue learning English. At our lesson we begin to learn new topic. We learn about a great land. We learn about Great Britain, the full name is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Today we’ll get a lot of new information about this land. We’ll read the text, learn new words and do some tasks in written form. Let’s begin our lesson!

      T: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland consists of four countries. They are England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are very beautiful countries. Each of them has its own capital. The capital of England is London. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. Cardiff is the capital of  Wales and Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. Let’s see the map of the UK.

4. How many people live in the UK?

About 56 million people live there.

5. What is the official language of the country?

English is the official language of the country.
