I GREETING
Teacher: Good morning, dear guests. Welcome to Ukraine! Let we introduce to each other. My name is Mrs._____. I’ll be your tourist guide during our trip. What about you?

Teacher: There are a lot of interesting places in each country. What are they?

IV LISTENING
Teacher: Look at your Leaflet, the task Listening. You are going to listen to the stories about Kyiv’s sights and you should circle the words which you will hear.
Story 1. Kyiv – Pechersk Lavra is one of the first monastery of Kyiv Rus. It was found by monk Antoniy in 1051. First monks lived in the caves. In some centuries there were built beautiful cathedrals, towers.
Story 2. The Statue of Motherland was opened in 1981. It became a visiting card of Kyiv. It symbolizes our country, Ukraine. It is very high, 102 m.
Story 3. The Golden Gates were built in the time of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, XI century. They were the central entrance to Kyiv. They got their name from golden domes.
Story 4. Botanical Garden named after Fomin was founded in 1838. It is one of the oldest gardens in Ukraine. You can see there about 9000 plants.
Story 5. The Museum of water as a museum was opened in 2003, but the building of the tower was founded in 1876. There you can see a big aquarium, a huge toilet. You can hear a thunderstorm. You can play with bubbles.
Learners do the task: “Circle the words which were mentioned in the story”.
Teacher: Exchange the leaflets with your partner and check comparing with correct answers on the slide.
V READING
Teacher: Our next stop is Odesa. Let’s watch the video. The next task is “Reading”. After looking through the texts, you should match them with the photos…

Teacher: Will you find adjectives and underline them? ( Learners do the task). What is presented in Picture A? Which adjectives describe it? Could you ask your partner about one of the other sites?
(Learners works in pairs. Then 2 or 3 ones present their dialogues).
VI WATCHING A VIDEO
Teacher: Square Rynok, coffee, lollipops, chocolate… do you know what city will be next?

Teacher: Watch the video, try to put the next sights in the correct order and choose missing words in some questions. But firstly let you practice to pronounce these names (learners repeat after the teacher): Dominican Cathedral, Lviv Town Hall, Meat and Justice, High Castle, Stryisky Park, Lviv theatre of opera and ballet, Latin Cathedral, the Coffee Shop “ Kopalnya Kawi”, Lychakiv Cemetery, House of Legends.
(Learners watch the video and do the task. After that they compare their answers with the ones on the slide of the presentation).

VII WRITING
Teacher: To sum up the excursion, create an advert of one of the place we have seen today. Use the models in the Leaflet. It is called REVIEW.
