A Game-Lesson “Happy English” 

Мета: Підсумувати та узагальнити знання учнів з тем: “Hello”, “What is your                                                  name?”,”Where are you from?”, “Numerals”, “Family”, “Colours”, “Animals”, “ABC”. Розвивати їх комунікативні вміння. Розширити знання учнів в рамках згаданих тем. Активізувати лексичний матеріал. Вдосконалювати компетенції читання, аудіювання й усного та монологічного мовлення, уважно стежити за презентованою інформацією,ефективно співпрацювати під час парної роботи, мотивувати готовність брати участь в іншомовному спілкуванні. Виховувати вміння сконцентруватись, слухати інших, формувати доброзичливу атмосферу в класі, викликати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Обладнання: комп’ютер, м’яч, м’яка іграшка, (на дошку: паперовий потяг, візуальні станції з паперу), повітряні кульки різного кольору, прапорці України та Англії, чисті аркуші та ручки, картки із завданнями з теми “ABC”, “Colours”,”Animals”, англійський алфавіт (з нумерацією), відеопрезентації англійських тематичних пісень.

(учні сидять півколом у класі)

Teacher: Good morning dear children!

Pupils: (The poem) “Good morning!”

T: Today we’ll travel around the English land – “Happy English” and make some stops on different stations. ( look at the blackboard, please)

1. The first station’s name is: “Hello”.

T: Using the toy you have to say “Hello, My name is…”

2. The second station is: “Dialogue”

(using the Ukrainian and English flags)

- Hello!

- What is your name?

- How old are you?

- Where are you from?

3. The third Station is: “Numerals”

T: Let’s have a little rest, see video sing (using the presentation) count from 1 to 10 (one by one).

T: Take your papers, pens and write such number I name: 1,3,5,7,10,8,2,9,4,6.

4. The next our station is: “Family”.

T: Let’s see the video and sing about “Finger Family” together!

T: Then you have to tell us about your family!

Ps: I have got a father, a mother, a sister…. I like my family!

5. The fifth station is: “ABC”.

T: Now, let’s see the video about ABC train! You can name the letters together.

T: Who can sing the ABC song? OK! Let’s sing it!

T: Find small letters and match them with big ones.

T: Let’s sing the ‘Phonic Song” and name the letters.

T: Using the Alphabet with numbers find and write the words: (on the board)

4,15,7.  (dog)

2,9,7.    (big)

12,9,15,14.  (lion)

6,18,15,7.     (frog)

6,9,19,8.       (fish)

6. The sixth station is: “Relaxation”

T: Let’s have a rest! “Clap your hands!”

T: Can you show some ex. for your friends?

Ps: jump, run, hop, climb, swim, fly…

7. The next our station is: “Colours”

T: Let’s sing the ‘Rainbow song!” (using the video)

T: Now you have tell us the poem about colours. (A teacher  uses the pictures of the poems)

Жовте курча каже: Hello! 

Жовті крильця, жовті лапки

Жовте - Yellow

Загубився десь мій кед

Мій червоний кед – Red

Прийшла у гості місіс Лінк

Рожеві щічки в неї - Pink

Це не зрілий мандарин

Він зелений просто - Green

Дуже гарна оця фрау

В коричневій сукні,

Коричневий - Brown

Дуже білий кіт мій Брайт

Білий колір буде - White

Дуже чорний пес мій Джек

Чорний колір буде - Black 

Вірте, правда я люблю

Блакитний колір буде -Blue

Брат мій грає у хокей

В сірій формі,

Сірий – Grey

Весною розквітне фіалка

Красивого кольору – Purple

Колір Orange - світ краси,

Як смачненький апельсин

T: Colours story: ”What do you see?”

T: “A black cat, a black cat what do you see?” ( A teacher has to use pictures of animals unusual  colours)

 Ps: “I see a purple tiger looking at me!”

Ps: “A purple tiger, a purple tiger what do you see?”

Ps: “ I see a blue elephant looking at me!”

Ps: “A blue elephant,  a blue elephant what do you see?.....”

T: “ I see children looking at me!”

T: Stand up, please! The game: “Name the change”

T: A Snowball game (use the ball): A white tiger, a red cat, a small monkey, a big elephant, a green frog….

T: Sit down dear children. Let’s see the video about colours! (presentation)

T: Mary, Roma…stand up please and take the balloon you like and you have to say:

“ This is a pink balloon, I like a pink balloon!”

T: Thank you these are your presents. ( the balloons).

8. The last our station is: “Goodbye”

T: Let’s say goodbye, see the video and sing the goodbye song:

“Bye, bye see you again hope to see you soon!”
