Урок "Англійські та американські письменники"

 

План-конспект уроку англійської мови в 8 клас і

Тема: Відомі англійські та американські письменники. 

 Мета: познайомити учнів з основними фактами з біографії та творчості відомих англійських та американських письменників,  вчити розповідати  про них на основі тематичних ЛО, вдосконалювати навички вимови, вивчаючого читання, аудіювання, усного діалогічного та монологічного мовлення з опорою; перевірити розуміння утворення та вживання ГС пасивного стану (The Present Simple Passive Voice); розвивати увагу, пам'ять, мовну здогадку, критичне та логічне мислення, соціокультурну компетенцію, пізнавальні інтереси учнів; виховувати любов до читання.

 Обладнання: презентація, відео, онлайн-тест, дидактичні картки.

Тип уроку: комбінований.

Міжпредметні зв’язки: зарубіжна література, мистецтво.

Хід уроку

1. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу. Організаційний момент.

T: Hello! How are you today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? Ready to work? We have today two teams of readers, which show us their knowledge.

2. Розвиток артикуляційних навичок. Мовленнєва розминка. (Слайд 1)

T: Let’s start the lesson with the peace of sonnet, be attentive. Try to repeat the poem to work with the articulation.      

My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun;

Coral is far more red than her lips’ red;

If snow be white; why then her breasts are dun;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

T: How do you think who is the author of it? In what way he is connected with our today’s lesson? Look at the screen and tell what is the theme of our today’s lesson? Yes, right. Today we are going to speak about people whose job is to write books – writers! You’ll learn much about biographies and works of the greatest English and American writers. Tell me, what of them do you know?

 4. Актуалізація опорних ЛО.

T: All these writers wrote a lot of works different genres. Let’s remember what genres of literature do you know?

7. Розвиток навичок діалогічного мовлення з елементами рольової гри. (Слайд 6-8)

T: We have the very famous guests today in our class. They agree to take part in conference and you will have the possibility to ask them questions to get the information  about them that to guess their names. Are you ready? I welcome our guests to take their sits. And the teams can put only few questions to each of the guests to guess their names. Clever you are more information you can find yourselves.

T: Think over, what writer do you like the best? Finish the sentences to retail about him/her. Use the knowledge chains and the information you have heard.

 to tell about the writer you like using the card - it will be marks 3-6;

to tell about the writer you like using your own information - it will be marks 7-9;

if you want marks 10-12 you have to make project about the writer using interesting, unknown facts.

Walter Scott	He was born in 1859 in Scotland. He was a writer of detective stories.The main character of his stories is Sherlock Holmes in the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
Lewis Carroll	She was born in 1891in Torquay, England. She wrote 79 detective stories and become one of the most famous writers in history, with mysteries like Murder at the Vicarage, Partners in Crime and Sad Cypress. She sold billions of copies of her works.
