Тема: Відомі англійські та американські письменники.
Мета: познайомити учнів з основними фактами з біографії та творчості відомих англійських та американських письменників, вчити розповідати про них на основі тематичних ЛО, вдосконалювати навички вимови, вивчаючого читання, аудіювання, усного діалогічного та монологічного мовлення з опорою; перевірити розуміння утворення та вживання ГС пасивного стану (The Present Simple Passive Voice); розвивати увагу, пам'ять, мовну здогадку, критичне та логічне мислення, соціокультурну компетенцію, пізнавальні інтереси учнів; виховувати любов до читання.
Обладнання: презентація, відео, онлайн-тест, дидактичні картки.
Тип уроку: комбінований.

Хід уроку
1. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу. Організаційний момент.
T: Hello! How are you today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? Ready to work? We have today two teams of readers, which show us their knowledge.
T: Let’s start the lesson with the peace of sonnet, be attentive. Try to repeat the poem to work with the articulation.

T: How do you think who is the author of it? In what way he is connected with our today’s lesson? Look at the screen and tell what is the theme of our today’s lesson? Yes, right. Today we are going to speak about people whose job is to write books – writers! You’ll learn much about biographies and works of the greatest English and American writers. Tell me, what of them do you know?
