Хід уроку.
І.Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.
1.Greeting.
Good morning, children . I am glad to see you . Sit down, please . Let’s recite the rhyme “How are you?”. All together.
How are you? How are you?
How are you, my dear friends?
We are great! We are fine!
We are OK! We are all right!
2. Aim.
Today we are going to talk about your free time. We’ll practise after school activities words. We’re going to play interesting games and to do different tasks.
3. Warming up.
a) Let’s talk about our school activities. Answer my questions, please.
What do we do in the computer room/ art room/ playground/ on the sports field?
What have we got on Monday/ Tuesday/ Friday?
When have we got English/ art/ maths/ PE?
b) Look at the pictures on the board. Listen and repeat the verbs after me.
c) Let’s play the miming game.
d) The guessing game.
1. One of the pupils mimes a school activity , the others try to guess it asking Do you + activity + after school? – Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
2. Teacher points to one of the pictures, the group mimes and one of the pupils watches and says the sentence.
II.Основна частина уроку.
1.Check on Homework.
Your task was to read and to understand short texts about children’s after school activities (C.B. p.46 Ex.2), to do exercises in W.B. p.46 and to prepare a good reading of the story “Let’s play after school”.
Now listen and read the short texts (CD-66 Unit 6), then check Ex. 3 and Ex-s in W.B.;
2. Listening and reading
a) Children watch the MultiROM
b) Work in groups of three. Children read the poster playing the parts of Rosy, Alice and Mum.
c) Musical pause. Children listen and sing the song “After school” CD-62
3. Listening and speaking
a) Children listen to CD-67 and tick or cross the pictures C.B. p. 47 ex. 1 and watch Fluency DVD Unit 6;
b) Pupils speak about these after school activities using positive and negative sentences.
4. Speaking
a) Pair Work
Children talk about their after school activities using the pictures.
b) Teamwork
Children work in teams . One team orders the cards with the positive sentences , the another - with the negative sentences on the board. Then each team reads their sentences together. The teams do it one by one.
c)The interview
One of the pupils interviews the group asking “What do you do after school?”
5. Writing
W.B. p. 46 Ex.1-circle the verbs and match
Ex. 2- circle the things you do after school and make the sentences.
