Тема.  Приготування їжі. Активізація ЛО та МЗ.

Мета: - вдосконалювати навички читання та усного мовлення з опорою на лексико-граматичні структури;

- навчити учнів виконувати трансформаційні завдання;

- виховувати вміння працювати в парах, давати суб’єктивну та об’єктивну оцінку явищам навколишнього середовища;

- розвивати комунікативні здібності учнів, елементи аналізу та самоаналізу.

Обладнання: підручник, тематичні малюнки, картки із завданнями, комп’ютер, проектор, презентація до уроку

ХІД УРОКУ

Ι.   Організація класу. Привітання

T. Good morning! Glad to see you at the English lesson.

 How are you? (Fine, thanks. And what about you?)  I’m superb.

Бесіда з учнями. Teacher’s questions: P1, P2, P3… T: Tell me please, what do you usually have for breakfast? What is your favourite food? What is your favourite drink? What do you like to have for dessert? As you see, tastes differs. Can you agree with a proverb:

                         “ So many people, so many tastes ”?

T: Look at the board. What can you see on it?

Ps’ possible answers: fish, meat, carrots, milk,…

T: Can you guess the topic of the lesson?

Ps: Food.

T: You are right. Could you write it on the blackboard?

   And look at the screen and read the continuation of the topic –  Preparing food .

         ΙΙ.  Підготовка до іноземного мовлення

T: Today we’ll play lexical games, work on the words on the topic, watch TV show and even take part in it. By the end of the lesson you will be able to understand cooking recipes and write the recipes of your favourite dishes.

  I’ve got a funny rhyme for you. We’ll finish  the lines like real poets. Can you make rhymes? Let’s see! What is the main in the poem? It’s a rhyme.  Let’s try to find it together.

1. Активізація лексичного матеріалу.

1. Fill in the chart by the correct words.

2. Which word is different :

      a carrot               a cabbage               a cauliflower                 a banana

      an apple              a potato                  a tomato                        a strawberry

      a potato              lemonade               a carrot                          an onion

      an orange            a cabbage               beans                            a cauliflower

3.    Say what we can do with these foods. Use the verbs from the first column and the nouns from the second column: boil vegetables, eggs, potatoes, spaghetti, soup;

fry meat, eggs, fish, cutlet, omelette, potatoes etc.

 T. You are to cook a salad today. But it’s impossible if we don’t know how to cook the products.

       Look at the pictures and say after me:

4. Listening. Аудіювання.

1) Pre-listening

T: Do you like watching TV? And what about cooking shows?  Do you watch them?

T: Now you will watch and listen to a recipe  with a very popular  vegetable all over the world – potato.

• pre-listening: What dishes with potato do you know?

Be attentive ,

• T: while  listening  you’ll have to write down the verbs and ingredients, which you’ll hear .
• Post-listening .
• T:  Put verbs in right order: wash, boil, cut, put, chop, peel, slice, add, mix, combine, sprinkle.
• T:Reproduce the recipe of the potato salad using the verbs

   6. Writing and speaking

  T: Let’s imagine that we are the participants of the popular show “Pekel’na kukhnia”. Have you ever watched it? How many teams take part in it? Yes, you are right. There are two of them: “Blues” and “Reds”. But we are going to work as one team. Each group is to write “Menu” including: a starter, a main course, a dessert and a drink. Write the recipe and the way of preparation. I think this music won’t irritate you.
