On Board of the Plane

Тема:  В аеропорту.

Підтема:  У літаку.

Мета : 

1. Освітня: ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою теми , активізувати ії.

2. Практична: оволодіти знаннями про особливості спілкування з стюардом (стюардесою) на борту літака, вміти уточнити інформацію.

3. Розвиваюча: сприяти формуванню вмінь і навичок добирати ресурси відповідно до ситуації мовлення, розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення, техніку читання та аудіювання.

4. Виховна: виховувати повагу до розмовної мови різних країн.

Обладнання: дошка, ноутбук, телевізор, тексти діалогів.

Хід заняття :

1. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання.

2. Повідомлення теми та мети.

T: We continue speaking about travelling by plane. Today we are going to speak about the traits of our behavior during the flight.

a steward or a stewardess (cabin crew or flight attendants) – стюард, стюардеса

2. Подання діалогу для прослуховування та читання.

1) Pre-Listening Activity. Етап підготовки.

T: Imagine yourself on the board of the plane. You want or need to understand a certain announcement that comes from the captain or the pilot or from an air steward or stewardess (cabin crew or flight attendants – people who look after the passengers).

Please, fasten your seat belt and put your seat in the upright position. – Будь ласка, пристебніть ремені та приведіть спинки ваших сидінь у вертикальне положення.

We are now cruising (flying comfortably) at an altitude of 10,000 metres. – Ми зараз здійснюємо політ на висоті 10 тисяч метрів.

2) Listening. Етап прослуховування.

T: I want you to listen to the following dialogue and then act it out.

Stewardess:  - Would you like a newspaper to read, sir? You know? We have some flight entertainment for you too. You’ll find the film guide in the pocket in front of you. If there’s anything I can get for you, then, please, just call for assistance.

Passenger:    - No, I wouldn’t. When will dinner be served?

Stewardess: - In about an hour, sir. We have fish, steak and vegetation option. What would you like?

Passenger:    - Fish, please. 

Stewardess:  - I’ll be back later. Just try to relax and enjoy the flight.

4. Відпрацювання лексичного матеріалу.

5.  Розвиток усного мовлення.

T: Work in pairs. Make up a dialogue between imaginary persons using the new words and phrases.

I’ll give each group a set of cards. These cards are a role card and a clue card. Rehearse the situations.

2.You are going through customs.

3.You choose the means of transportation.

4.You board the plane. You are a passenger.

5.You board the plane. You are a stewardess.
