Урок 1

Тема: Магія природи

Підтема: Наша планета

Тип уроку: урок формування умінь і навичок іншомовної комунікативної

компетентності.

Мета: ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою, формувати навички вживання нової лексики в усному мовленні, формувати навички самостійної роботи зі словником; розвивати пам’ять, увагу, логічне мислення; долучати учнів до вивчення культури народу, мова якого вивчається, розширювати їх філологічний кругозір; виховувати любов до природи.

Очікувані результати: на кінець уроку учні зможуть вживати в усному, діалогічному та писемному мовленні нові лексичні одиниці, ознайомляться з інформацією про навколишнє середовище, зможуть висловлювати власну думку щодо захисту довкілля.

Обладнання: підручник для 9 класу А.Несвіт, картки для роботи в парах, для самостійної роботи, малюнки.

ХІД УРОКУ

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Greeting  Good morning, everyone. How are you getting on? (students answer teacher`s questions). So, let`s start our lesson. We have a lot of work to do.

 

Aim: T: Please, look at this photo. What can you see here? What associations do you have while watching this photo? Is this real? What did author want to tell us with the help of this photo? (teacher listens to the students` answers).

T: Today we are going to speak about the most valuable thing we have – our Earth. The planet we live on.  The topic of our lesson is “This is our Earth”.

 

Warming up: T:  We are going to speak about nature and the environment. We try to find out what is the difference between these two words. (with the help of ______ students try to find similarities and differences)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nature is all the animals, plants and other thing in the world that are not made by a man.

Environment is the surroundings or conditions in which a person or a plant lives or operates.             

II. Основна частина уроку

1.Pre-listening: T: Please, open your books on page 41 and look at the ex.1. Read the name of the poem. While listening think about the meaning of a title.

 

2. Listening: One of the students read the poem, other listens. Students can find the unknown words in the dictionaries.

 

3. After-listening: (work in pairs) T: Discuss the questions of ex.2, p.41.

Students ask and answer the questions in turns. Then some of the students do ex.2 in front of the class. The rest of the class can ask their own questions about this poem.

 

4. Speaking: T: Look, please, at the mind map of ex.3, p.42 and try to fill in with the words from the poem of ex.1, p.41 to enlarge your mind map.

 

5. Reading: T: Now read the text of ex.2, p.42 and say what environmental problems do people have?

 

6. After-reading: T: Look through the text of ex.4 again and try to explain the meaning of the highlighted words.

 2. What is the problem I have all the time?

 3. Why is it important to solve my problems?

 4. What is my greatest concern?

1. Summarizing: T: So, my dear students, we have done a lot at the lesson today. The most active were….

T: Tell me please, what different types of environment do you know? What should people be more concern about? How  are all the things connected on the planet Earth?

 

2. Homework: T: you homework for today will be ex.8, p.43 (complete the sentences with the words from ex.5) and ex.11, p.44 (write a few sentences about the place where you live. What environmental problems do your city has? How do the people in your city cope with such problems?)
