МЕТА: Активізувати вживання лексичного матеріалу теми.

             Повторити вживання теперішнього та минулого часів дієслова.

             Знайомити учнів із творами англійських письменників.

             Удосконалювати техніку читання.

             Навчати учнів розуміти загальний та детальний зміст тексту.

             Продовжувати формувати навички мовлення.

             Виховувати любов до художньої літератури.

1. Aim

Today we have a reading lesson. We’re going to read the tale “Sleeping Beauty”. You’ll also practice your speech and grammar.

 

2. Warming up

T: Do you like fairy tales? What fairy tales do you know? (Children can use the right part of ex.4, page 131)

- Hansel and Gretel
- The Three Little Pigs
- Sleeping Beauty

1.Reading

Подання тексту для читання. Вправа 1, ст.133.

 

1). Pre-reading activity.

Have you read a story about Sleeping Beauty?

Have you watched a cartoon?
Who are the main heroes?

 

2). Vocabulary (Children have got cards with the new words written on them)

 

 T: Listen and repeat the new words.

Narrator - оповідач
wise woman – мудра жінка

Gift - подарунок
suddenly- раптом
fall asleep - заснути
at the top – нагорі
inside – всередині
deep sleep – глибокий сон

 

3). Listening and reading.

a) T: Listen to a CD and follow the story in your books silently.

 

b) T: Read the sentences and write T (true) or F (false) in your notebooks.

(Один учень виконує завдання зі зворотного боку дошки. Після виконання завдання учні перевіряють правильність виконання, звіряючись з дошкою).
