Tема уроку: Food and Festivities. Eating Out?

Цілі уроку:

Практична: Активізувати лексику по темі «Їжа», розвивати навички читання, письма та аудіювання, навчити учнів висловлювати свої думки стосовно інформації, одержаної з тексту.

Освітня: Розширити знання учнів про способи приготування їжі на кухонне приладдя.

Розвиваюча: Розвивати культуру мовлення учнів, пам'ять, критичне мислення та увагу.

Виховна: Виховувати навички здорового харчування.

Обладнання уроку: Підручник, мультимедійний комплекс.

Хід уроку

Початок уроку. Організація класу. Повідомлення теми уроку.

Прийом: Бесіда з учнями.

Teacher: Hello kids! How are you today?

Fantastic! So, so! I am exhausted. Etc.

I am just perfect. I am eating out with my best friend tonight in the coolest restaurant in our town. I am sure we will have a great dinner as there are lots of delicious dishes on the menu.

Tell, please, do you always have your meals at home? When we have dinner somewhere in a café or restaurant we eat out. How often do you eat out? Would you prefer to eat out at least once a week? Are there any special places in our town where you would like to eat out?

Teacher: OK. So today we`ll listen to a dialogue ‘In a Restaurant’, find out about popular places to eat out in Britain, practice in speaking and writing.

Sally: And I’ll have a tomato salad, please.

Waiter: And for your main course?

Jamie: Mmm, I’m not sure. I don’t know whether to have the steak or Thai chicken.

Sally: Oh, I’d like the Thai chicken and rice, please.

Jamie: OK, me too.

Waiter: So that’s two Thai chicken and rice. What would you like to drink?

Jamie: I’ll have a fresh orange juice and ...

Teacher: Imagine you are in the Boat restaurant. Using their menu make up dialogues. The waiter should ask about starter, main course, dessert and drinks.

Teacher: Are there special places in our town to eat out? How often would you like to eat out? Now you will read four short texts about popular British places to eat out.

Прийом 5: складання неправдивих тверджень по тексту

Teacher: Make up three false statements based on the information in the text and read them out o your classmates. They correct the statement, as in the example:

A: The food in ‘greasy spoon’ cafes is boiled.

B: Wrong. The food there is fried.

Створення постера

Now we will try to make advertising posters for your cafes or restaurants. You will be split in three groups and each group will receive a set of pictures and a model of advertisement. Make a perfect ad for your restaurant or café and present it to the class.

Model: A (name of a café/restaurant) is very popular among (age group of people). It`s the best place to get (names of dishes). You can order (names of drinks). You can enjoy (name of activity) here. The restaurant/café offers (characteristics of the food) at (prices).

(A Sweet Tooth café is very popular among children. It`s the best place to get fruit salads, cakes, ice cream, biscuits. You can order fresh juice, Coke or Pepsi. You can enjoy watching cartoons and playing games here. The café offers healthy, delicious and various food at low prices.)
