Lesson Topic:

«House»

 

 

 

Objectives:

- to revise the vocabulary of the topic and learn new words;

- to teach the pupils to work in groups and pairs;

-  to develop listening, reading and speaking skills;

- to dev to teach tolerance and understanding while working in groups;elop pupils’ creative skills, skills in giving opinions.

English A2 level

Equipment: ноутбук, роздатковой матеріал, підручник.

Procedure.

I. Greeting

T: - Good morning, students!

Ss: - Good morning, teacher!

T: - Glad to see you today!

Ss: - Glad to see you too!

T: I see you are in a good mood. Am I right?

Ss: Yes, that’s true. We are in a good mood.


T: Let’s begin our lesson. Look at the pictures on the blackboard. What can you see there? Name rooms and furniture, which you see.

 

 

T: So, on today`s lesson we`re going to speak about sport. So, let`s start.

ІІ Warming up  

T: What do these quotations mean? British people say:

“Home is the starting place of love, hope and dreams.”

“The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back.”

“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.”

“A house is made of bricks and beams. A home is made of hopes and dreams.”

 

III Main part

Т: Let’s remember some words connecting to the topic.

We use there is and there are to say that something exists.

there is  - singular

there are – plural

T:  your task is to work in groups. Take a flashcard with room and explain it to your classmate with is / are there construction
