Тема : Козацькі розваги

Мета уроку:  навчити учнів читати текст із загальним розумінням змісту та відповідати на запитання на основі прочитаного тексту;  практикувати орфографію у написанні слів , використовуючи кросворд.

Очікувальний результат: на кінець уроку учні зможуть розповідати про героїчне минуле українських козаків , давати відповіді на запитання , висловлювати власні переконання щодо впливу українських козаків на  молодіжні рухі та на життя однолітків.

Обладнання: роздатковий матеріал (тексти),кросворд, малюнок козака

Хід  уроку:

I. Read the text and find the translation of each paragraph.

Поділити учнів на   групи. Кожна група учнів отримує два текти: один англійською мовою- послідовний, інший українською-.  розрізаний на абзаци, для того щоб учні знайшли переклад, відповідно до англійського тексту.

I.In the annals of Ukrainian lands there is a glorious Cossack period which lasted almost 300 years. (From 1550 to1828). Cossacks were an organized military force.They defended Ukrainian lands from Turks and  Tatars attacks as well as from Polish and Moscow colonizers. The Cossacks were  brave, disciplined. strong, proud and free people.

У   літописі   українських   земель   є   славний   період   козаччини,   який   тривав майже 300 років (з 1550 по1828р). Козацтво було організованою військовою силою,   яка   боронила   наші   землі   від   нападів   турків   і   татар,   а   також   від польських   та   московських   колонізаторів.   Козаки   були   сміливими, дисциплінованими, витривалими, гордими і вільними людьми.

It is believed that the word “Cossack” comes from the word "goat”. Cossacks were nimble as goats, dressed in goat coats. But there are thoughts that the word "Cossack" means "free man" from the Tatar word "kayzak". Cossacks lived behind nine Dnieper rapids, that's why they were called Zaporizhian Cossacks. They had 265 islands. The largest island was called Sich because it was cut off from the others. Cossacks lived there permanently. They studied military affairs and prepared for military campaigns.

Вважають, що слово « козак» походить від слова “коза”. Козаки були спритні, як кози, вдягалися в козячі кожухи. Але є й думки , що слово « козак» означає  «вільний чоловік»  від татарського слова «кайзак». Козаки жили за дев’яттю порогами Дніпра , ось тому їх називали запорожцями. У запорожських козаків було 265 островів. До  найбільшого острова  не було підступу,  був відсічений , відгороджений від інших , тому й називався Січчю. Там козаки жили постійно. Вони вчилися військовій справі, готувалися до воєнних походів.

III In the middle of the camp Zaporizhian Sich there was a church of St. Mary. It was very modest from outside, but inside the church was full of gold and silver. Some of their booty Cossacks gave to the church and every year they bought new icons. The Cossacks camp Zaporizhian Sich was commanded by leader (in Ukrainian koshovyi), everyone called him father. And a military judge and clerk also belonged to the military officers.

Посередині Січі стояла церква Святої Покрови знадвору дуже скромна, а всередині повна золота і срібла. Частину своєї здобичі призначали на церкву і купували щороку нові ікони. Січчю командував кошовий, його всі називали батьком. До військової старшини належали ще військовий суддя і писар.

ІV.Cossacks had their own customs. The man who wanted to become a Cossack, had to serve for a senior Cossack 3 years. The senior Cossack taught the young man to use weapons and helped him to get experience in battles. After a three - year period a young Cossack was given a gun, a spear, bows and arrows.

Козаки мали свої звичаї. Хто хотів стати козаком, мусив  служити 3 роки у старшого козака. Коли навчався від того козака орудувати зброєю й набував спритності у битвах, ставав справжнім козаком і діставав зброю: рушницю, спис, луки і стріли.

V Cossacks dressed simply, in a brute shirt, in a long coat without sleeves. They wore a wide belt, behind it they put pistols and pipes and tied flasks of gunpowder by the waist strap. They also had a shoulder bag with some food. Their head was shaved with one a long strand of hair.

Козаки одягалися просто: в грубу сорочку , в довгий плащ без рукавів. За широким поясом носили пістолі і люльки, через плече носили торбинку з харчами, а до пояса на ремінець прив’язували ще й порохівницю з порохом. Голови були голені , залишалось тільки одне довге пасмо волосся.
