Обладнання:текст для читання, тематичні малюнки, аудіозапис “Music of nature”, картка для заповнення учнями “Air”, смартфони для гри Kahoot, ножиці, клей, ватман, фломастери, ілюстрації за темою

І.Greeting
Good morning. Glad to see you . I hope we’ll work well today.
II.Aiming.
Today we’ll talk about things that we cannot live without. You’ll read a text, discuss it in groups, play a game, listen to music and make a short project.
III. Brainstorming
How do you think what can’t we live without?
(pupils ideas) Life is impossible without …… (written on the blackboard)
What is the most important of all these things? If we don’t have it, we’ll die.
Certainly, it’s air. What is there in the air? You’ll be able to complete this chart by the end of this lesson.
IV.Warming up
Close your eyes. Relax and listen to these sounds. What can you imagine while listening. What places can you see? ( parks, forests, fields)
Why are these green zones important for us?

Read and translate the text
Air consists of different gases. The main parts of the air are oxygen and nitrogen. These two gases are invisible. All living beings need oxygen to breathe. Beside oxygen and nitrogen there is also carbon dioxide in the air. Carbon dioxide is also an invisible gas, but we don’t need it for breathing. In the air there is also vapour, smoke, soot and dust.
People cannot live without air even several minutes. Animals and plants also need air. The air protects the Earth against space radiation.
On our planet there are many factories. They use much oxygen for burning and throw a lot of smoke into the atmosphere. In big cities the air is contaminated by smoke from car engines . This smoke has tiny poisonous particles.
In order to protect the air special filters are put on the factory chimneys and in cars too.
