ТЕМА УРОКУ: Food and drinks.

МЕТА:

Навчальна:

• закріплювати та збагачувати словниковий запас учнів;
• практикувати навики учнів у читанні та аудіювання текстів з метою отримання загального уявлення (skimming) та максимально повного й точного розуміння всієї інформації, що міститься в тексті (scanning);
• вдосконалювати навички читання й усного мовлення;
• формувати навички вимови;  

Розвиваюча:

• розвивати культуру спілкування й мовленнєву реакцію учнів;
• запитувати і надавати інформацію;
• вміти здобувати інформацію з текстів, висловлювати власні думки і припущення;
• розвивати в учнів увагу, пам'ять, кмітливість та мовну здогадку;
• розширити знання учнів про харчування;

Виховна:

• виховувати самостійність, зацікавленість у вивченні іноземної мови, чіткість висловлення думки;
• виховувати ввічливе ставлення один до одного.

Тип уроку: урок застосування знань, умінь та навичок.

Матеріально-технічне забезпечення:

• ноутбук з проектором та мультимедійною дошкою;
• гра «Jeopardy»;
• відео- та аудіозаписи.

Дидактичні матеріали: картки із завданнями та запитаннями, фото із продуктами здорового харчування.

І. Організаційний момент.

Т: Good morning, everybody! I'm glad to see you! How are you? Sit down, please.

ІІ. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Т: I want to start our lesson from introducing its topic. The topic of our today’s lesson is "Food and drinks". By the end of the lesson you should

• revise the vocabulary and grammar;
• enrich your knowledge about food and eating habits;
• be able to talk about your favourite food and recipes.

1. How often do you drink milk?

2. What is your favourite vegetable?

3. How many times a week do you eat meat?

4. What’s your favourite food?

6. What do you usually have for breakfast?

7. What food don’t you like?

8. What’s your favourite drink?

9. Name 3 sweet foods.

Task 2. T: I see that there are many types of food that you like eating. I think that you’re already very good at cooking some food, aren’t you? Your homework was to write and present recipes of your favourite food and to act out a dialogue about making pancakes. You know that pancakes are very popular in Great Britain.

ІІI. Основна частина уроку.

1.Introduction

T: When you were acting out the dialogue and telling the instructions of your recipes you often used such constructions as there is a/an, there is some, there are some. When do we use such constructions in sentences?

Task 3. Look at the picture and complete the sentences using there is a/an, there is some, there are some.

Task 4. T: Now let us remember all kinds of food, vegetables, fruit, drinks and desserts that we have already learnt. Here are five baskets and you have to fill them with the words that you know. You’ll work in five groups together.

Task 5. T: There are various kinds of foreign food that we haven’t even tasted. When I say such thing as “a tropical paradise” what food do you imagine then? Now you are going to listen to a song and complete the song with the words in the box.                                                                           

T: Now we’ll continue talking about foreign lands and we’ll watch a cartoon about a greedy hippo. He eats the other animals’ food without asking for permission.

Task 6. We’ll do exercise 1 to revise and learn some new words from the cartoon together.

 Task 7. While you’re watching a cartoon you have to do exercise 2 and put the sentences in the order according to the story “The greedy hippo - Kids Stories - LearnEnglish Kids British Council”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbLecFXK00I

T: As we see from the story it is important to share with others and not to be greedy.

Таsk 8. Now we’ll play the Jeopardy game. It is an American quiz-show and now you’ll try your luck at it. You’ll work in three teams and your task will be to give the correct answers and score the points.
