Task 1. T: Here I’ve got a question box for you. There are many questions about food in this box and your task is to pick any question from the box, read it and give an answer. Who would like to try?

2. What is your favourite vegetable?

6. What do you usually have for breakfast?
7. What food don’t you like?

Task 2. T: I see that there are many types of food that you like eating. I think that you’re already very good at cooking some food, aren’t you? Your homework was to write and present recipes of your favourite food and to act out a dialogue about making pancakes. You know that pancakes are very popular in Great Britain.
ІІI. Основна частина уроку.
1.Introduction
T: When you were acting out the dialogue and telling the instructions of your recipes you often used such constructions as there is a/an, there is some, there are some. When do we use such constructions in sentences?
Task 3. Look at the picture and complete the sentences using there is a/an, there is some, there are some.
Task 4. T: Now let us remember all kinds of food, vegetables, fruit, drinks and desserts that we have already learnt. Here are five baskets and you have to fill them with the words that you know. You’ll work in five groups together.
Task 5. T: There are various kinds of foreign food that we haven’t even tasted. When I say such thing as “a tropical paradise” what food do you imagine then? Now you are going to listen to a song and complete the song with the words in the box.
T: Now we’ll continue talking about foreign lands and we’ll watch a cartoon about a greedy hippo. He eats the other animals’ food without asking for permission.
Task 6. We’ll do exercise 1 to revise and learn some new words from the cartoon together.

T: As we see from the story it is important to share with others and not to be greedy.
