I like my robot

Objectives:

•          to practice using new vocabulary for parts of the body;
•          to develop speaking skills;
•          to develop reading skills;
•          to write sentences about the body

Equipment: textbooks, a notebook, whiteboard, copybooks, pictures

At the end of the lesson students will be able to:

•          reinforee vocabulary on the topic;
•          describe the robot;
•          work in groups to drill vocabulary

Procedure

1. Introduction

1. Greetings

T. Good morning, dear children! I’m glad to see you again!

2. Aim

Today we are speaking about some robots. You’ll repeat words and learn new grammar.

3. Warming up

Now let’s repeat the words. Look at the pictures and name what can you see.

(part of the body: nose, hand, eyes, ears, mouth, face, hair, leg, arm …)

2. The main part

1. Home task

At home you must do projects. Who wants to tell us about your monsters?

(some pupils show picture and describe it)

2. Make a pair

Now we play a game. We repeat the words again and make a pair. Match the pictures with the words

3. Missing letter

OK, children, now check your writing skills. Let’s play a game again. Look at the whiteboard and put the letters in correct order.

5. Grammar

And now let’s repeat our grammar material – plural. We know that some nouns make plural by adding letter –s by the end of the words and some nouns we must learn by heart. And now open our books at page 41. Look at exercise 4. You should read the sentence and choose the correct word and then write down them into your copybooks. So open your copybooks and write down the date.
