Тема:  Квартира моєї мрії.

Мета:

практична: закріпити лексику по темі «Квартира», розвивати  

                     навички   читання, логічного мислення.

освітня:      розширення кругозору і знань учнів з теми, розвивати вміння

                    працювати з текстом, діалогом.

розвиваюча: розвивати увагу, пам'ять, мовну здогадку, мислення

виховна:      виховувати культуру спілкування і колективної співпраці, інтерес 

                     до вивчення іноземної мови

Обладнання: роздатковий матеріал, підручник, медіа презентація.

ХІД УРОКУ:

І. ПІДГОТОВКА ДО СПРИЙНЯТТЯ ІНШОМОВНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ

1. Привітання та бесіда з учнями.

• to read and understand the gist and details of today’s topic;
• to participate in common conversational exchanges about the topic of today's lesson.

II. ОСНОВНА ЧАСТИНА УРОКУ:

I.  Підготовка до читання

1.    Find more parts of a flat in the word square

2. Read and translate the text.

                                            My flat

My parents have got a flat. It’s on the third floor of an old and big house. We live at 12 Park Street. Our flat is rather big. There are three rooms, a bathroom, a lavatory, a corridor and a kitchen. There is a high ceiling in our flat. The windows and the balcony in the rooms face the street. The windows of the kitchen face the yard.

When you enter our flat you can see a large hall and a large corridor. To the right of the door there is a big living room. The next door after the living room is a bedroom. Opposite the bedroom there is a corridor leading to the kitchen. Our kitchen is not very large but it’s really comfortable. It’s my Mum’s favorite place.

Our flat has all modern conveniences: running cold and hot water, electricity, central heating, telephone. There is a lift and a rubbish chute in the house.

      II. 1. T: Let’s play the game. Guess what is it?

1. a place where we can live? (House, flat)
2. In this room there is a table, a mirror, a chest of drawers and beds. We sleep here. What is this? (a bedroom)
3. a thing on which to sit at the table?  ( a chair)
4. In this room there is a table, chairs, armchairs, a sofa, a fireplace, a television and a carpet. (a living room)
5. a thing on which sleep (bed)
6. There is a dishwasher, a fridge, a microwave oven, plates, cups and other things. We usually cook here. (a kitchen)
7. a thing which is usually on the floor (carpet)
8. There is a bath, a toilet, a shower,  a mirror. We usually take a shower there    (a bathroom)
9. a room where all the family usually watch TV in the evening (living-room)

2.Play the dialogue

     -Oh Gosh! I did not even know that hunting for an apartment could be so tough!

  -  Are you going to rent an apartment?

-Yes. As soon as possible. I have to find a new place as my lease expires next    week. First I checked all the classified websites regarding a property but I could not find anything in my price range. I can not afford an expensive property now. Then I found real estate listings in newspapers, but the apartments I saw were just awful to my mind. They are old, run-down and not well-maintained.

-I understand. And what's your price range? Do you have any special location in mind?

-Well, I expect to pay something around 1000 $ a month. Anything under this price will do. As for the location - I need a place near my office. So I could save a good amount on commuting.

-But the district where you work is a plush one. And the property is quite expensive here. How will you manage the rent alone? Do not you want to look for a roommate to divide the cost of renting?

-That's also a good option. I have to think about it.

-I guess I have a couple of variants for you. A friend of mine is subletting his studio apartment for 6 months while he travels in America. He's got a beautiful apartment. It's fully furnished and has a large balcony overlooking the park.

-That sounds great. It's a pity that the apartment will be available only for several months. I'm planning to move in for 2 years at least.

-OK. I get the point. There is another vacant place near your office. It's rather spacious with an upscale neighborhood.

-Has it got all the utilities?

-Well, the building itself was recently renovated and it's well-maintained. All the apartments have an intercom and the doors are highly secure. The apartment definitely has electricity, gas, water and heating. I'm not sure about a washing machine or a dish-washer. We have to ask the landlord about the details.

-If it's not over my budget I am ready to see it today.

-As far as I know to move in you will need to pay the first and the last month's rent plus a security deposit that you will get it back at the end of your lease if the apartment is in good condition.

3.Paint the picture.
