Т:Good morning. I am glad to see you. I hope that you are good.
Who is on duty today?
OK. So let's start our lesson. Today we’ll speak about memory and amnesia? We’ll also check up how observant you are. We’ll do a lot of different activities, you will practice your reading, writing ,listening and speaking skills. And we also practice grammar. You will practice the usage of prepositions with adjectives and the formation of nouns from verbs and adjectives .
Now, look at the board. Here you can see a sieve and an elephant. I want to tell you that to have a memory like a sieve means to be very forgetful, and to have a memory like an elephant means to have a very good memory. And what about you? Do you have a memory like a sieve or like an elephant?
Now you will have a short memory test.
Be very attentive, you will have only one minute. Look at the board and try to remember as many objects and numbers as you can.
Your time is out. Write down the names of the objects and nouns into your copy-books. Now compare your lists with your neighbours. Read your lists.
Which were earsier for you to remember objects or numbers ?

And now tell me please if you ever have found yourself in embarassing position of meeting someone you think you have met before but you can not remember his or her name or even when and where you saw their faces.
Do not worry .Your memory depends on how observant you are. So if you know how to use your power of observation you will overcome your problems.

By the way people remember things by making connections between ideas. Now ,we will make associations .You’ll work in chain.

For today you were to read two stories,Emily”s and Henry”s. They both suffered from amnesia, but their diagnoses are different. Before discussing these stories I want to tell you that there are a lot of different books and films about amnesia . But it seems to me that it is interesting to read books and watch films about such people but it is not interesting to live with such illness. In real life such stories are not so entertaining.
