As we know, the 21st century is considered as an information age. People are united into one global community with the help of the mass media. They can learn about what is happening in the world very fast using the new technologies. Mass Media actually rule the world and play a very important part in our lives.

Mark Twain said: ''There only two forces that can carry light to all corners of the globe – the sun in the heavens and the Associated Press''.(S3)I think these words are closely connected with the plot of our lesson. So during the lesson we'll talk about the press and Mass Media.

They provide reading material about fashion, clothes, cooking, diet, house and home, motoring and holidays. They publish sections with articles on travel, food and wine, and other leisure topics. The great number of magazines are published for women.
