Alice         Ohh… There's nothing to do…. I’m here all alone sitting in the grass and picking  flowers.  Oh… I don't know… it's sooo hot…

White Rabbit  Oh dear! Oh dear! I'm late! I'm so very late! Oh dear oh dear!

Alice         A white rabbit! A talking white rabbit? Perhaps. But a rabbit with a pocket-watch? A rabbit with pockets? Where is he going?

White Rabbit    Oh, my ears and whiskers! How late it's getting!! I’m late, I’m late!!!

Alice             Wait! Please sir, wait a moment!

Narrator        The White Rabbit runs away. Alice runs after him.

Alice          Where is the rabbit? I wonder…Oh!  What a beautiful garden!  Why are you painting the roses red?

Gardener     The Queen - she wants red roses and I put white roses in by mistake. If the Queen sees them, she'll cut my head   off! Oh no! Here comes the Queen!

Narrator     A line of soldiers come marching into the rose garden. They don't look like people at all. The Queen looks at Alice.

Queen        Who is this?

Alice          I'm Alice, Your Majesty.

Queen        Can you play croquet?

Alice         Yes!

Queen        Come on then! Everyone get to your places!

Gardener/ Soldiers  I'm over here... Are you over there? This is my place, no this is your place, are we ready? It’s my turn. No it isn't your turn! That's my ball, give me my hedgehog! It's my turn, not yours! Is that my flamingo? That's cheating!

Queen (the Queen goes around stamping her feet and shouting at everyone.)
Off with your head! Off with her head!

Alice         What a strange game! I don’t want to play. How  to get out of here?

Queen       Are you enjoying the croquet?

Alice         No. I don't think you play fairly at all. Everyone is talking and there aren't any rules.

The Queen  Someone’s head will roll for this

Alice         If you please, your Majesty...

Voice         The trial is starting! The trial is starting!

Queen        The trial! Oh good! I love trials! Come along!

Narrator    Alice goes with  the Queen. We leave her there for now. Next time. I'll tell you what happened with The White         Rabbit. Goodbye.
