Тема уроку

SWEET PARTY: setting the table

Мета: ознайомлення учнів з новим матеріалом шляхом інсценування ситуації;

використання нової лексики на практиці;

розвиток навиків діалогічного мовлення;

виховування в учнів дружніх стосунків під час роботи в групі.

Оформлення: флешкартки, плакат, картки для гри, солодощі, фрукти, посуд, столові прибори.

Хід уроку

І. Початок уроку.

Teacher: “Good afternoon, dear children. I’m very glad to see you again. Today we have a special lesson and a very interesting topic.

Please, look at the blackboard. There are new words. I think you understand what we will speak about today.

Now let`s repeat new words after me.

ІІ. Основна частина уроку.

I want you imagine the situation. Your friend invited you to the party. But he needs help. Your friend asks you to come and help him to set the table.

So you came to your friend’s house. You have to set the table.

What do you have to do for the first?

Look at the poster. You can see “Basic Table Setting Instructions” on it.

Basic Table Setting Instructions

Lay out a tablecloth on the table or Lay the placemat on the table.
Put the plate in the middle of the placemat.
Lay the napkin to the left of the plate.
Place the fork on the napkin.
Place the knife to the right of the plate.
Place the spoon to the right of the knife.
Place the water glass in the top right corner above the knife.

Also, you can add a place card above plate (if you have a big party).

Now you know the basic table setting rules.

And now you can place sweets and fruits on the table.

Після того , як учні накрили на стіл , вчитель запрошує усіх до столу.

Teacher: “now you can take your place and taste sweets.”

Учні мають можливість перекусити трішки.

Після того, як всі скуштували солодощі та фрукти , переходимо до практичного завдання – вчимося писати запрошення на вечірку , на прикладі “ Birthday party invitation”.

R.S.V.P. – це акронім французької фрази фр. Répondez s'il vous plaît, що означає буквально «Будьте ласкаві відповісти» або «Будь ласка, дайте відповідь».

Запрошення навчилися писати, тепер спробуємо скласти список речей, які ми потребуємо для вечірки.
