Тема: Кіно. Олександр Довженко – видатний український режисер.
Мета:
Закріпити навички вживання тематичної лексики в процесі усного мовлення, аудіювання та читання. Під час аудіювання тренувати в розпізнаванні необхідної інформації. В процесі читання ровивати уміння аналізувати та співпідставляти частини тексту, знаходити логічні зв'язки між частинами тексту.
Розвивати уміння спілкуватися про кіно в межах тематики, використовуючи загальновживані вирази та демонструючи загальноприйнятні норми комунікативної поведінки; виражати простими засобами свої погляди та ставлення. Демонструвати розуміння цінності національного культурного розмаїття в історії розвитку кіномистецтва.
Очікувані результати: Підготувати учнів до написання листа другові про урок англійської мови з теми «Кіно». Під час уроку учні закріплять уміння повідомляти та пояснювати про свої уподобання стосовно жанрів фільмів, вести діалог про відвідування кіно; отримають практику в аудіюванні та читанні тематичних текстів.
Тип уроку: комбінований.
Обладнання: Презентація з використанням ІКТ, аудіозапис тексту, роздатковий матеріал, зошити, підручники, дошка.

A. Dovzhenko is the famous Ukrainian writer, the director of silent films. He is one of the founders of Ukrainian cinematography. He is considered by many to have been one of the world's greatest film directors.
He was born in 1894 in Chernigivskaya region. His parents had many children--fourteen in all, two survived, Alexandr and his sister Polina, who became a doctor. The other children died at different times, hardly any of them reaching working age.
Because of political problems, he was able to complete only seven feature-length films; these include his major works, "Zvenihora, Arsenal, " and "Earth." They were about contemporary life, with the common man at its centre. They were named among the best films of all times. He travelled around Europe showing his best films to Europeans.
He also visited Great Britain once. He studied the possibilities of sound films there.
He was a correspondent in World War II and sketched for films, stories, plays, and novels.
He worked for the Odesa and Kyiv studios. Apart from a number of feature films he made documentaries. Besides he wrote script-like stories and plays. Since 1946 he stayed to work at the Mosfilm Studio. He died in Moscow in 1956.
O. Dovzhenko became an important figure in national and world cinematography.
The Kyiv Studio bears his name nowadays. The Dovzhenko prize was instituted in 1983.
