Про матеріал

План-конспект уроку у 1 класі на тему School things. Урок розроблений відповідно до вимог НУШ. В ньому описано багато цікавих, захоплюючих ігор для першокласників. Конспектом можна скористатися навіть не маючи підручника, так як наявні всі додаткові матеріали.

Microtopic: School things

Objectives: -  to learn and practise new lexical units;

  • to  stimulate speaking activities practising new vocabulary in the             

                        speech pattern ‘What’s this?’ ‘It’s  a….’

Learning outcomes: -pupils will be able to identify and say 4 objects in the classroom;

                              - to ask and answer the  question “What is this?

Vocabulary: a book,a pen,a pencil,a bag

Grammar items: structures “What’s this? ”  “It’s  a….”

Materials to be used: 

  •  flashcards (a book, a pen,a  pencil,a bag);smart board;
  •  printables;

 

                                                            Procedure

Warm-up :

  Sing "Hello Song" Sit in a circle and sing along to the song.Encourage students to clap along or pat their laps in time with the music.

 

 

Presentation of new material:

1. Introduce the vocabulary


 

Today  students are going to learn the words:a book,a pen,a pencil,a bag. Before class, print off enough flashcard pictures of each of these words for each student in the class as well as yourself.

Start off by getting everyone sitting on the floor in front of you. Hold up the table flashcard. Proceed as follows:

Teacher: What's this? It's a book. Repeat "book".

Students: "Book" (repeat 3 times)

Teacher: Can you see a booke in the classroom? Point to the book.

Students: (Point to books)

Teacher: Yes! Good job!

Lay the flashcard on the floor. Then do the same for the other  flashcards.

Next give each student the same  flashcards and have them lay the cards out in front of them. Touch one of your cards saying the word and have your students touch and repeat on their cards. Go through all of the cards.

 Have everyone sit so they can see the table you are going to use. Before class, put the following stationery items in a bag: a pencil,a  pen,a book.

First, hold up the bag and teach / elicit and chorus the word "bag". Then take out the first item from the bag (e.g. a pencil) and elicit / teach and chorus the word. Place that object on the table. Do the same for all the objects, each time placing them in a line on the table. When all the items are on the table, point to each in turn and elicit the item

Practice of new material

 

Play "What’s Missing?"

Tell everyone to close and cover their eyes. Take away an item from the table and hide it behind your back. Then say "Open your eyes". Point to the missing space on the table and encourage everyone to shout out the missing item. Keep playing until you have practiced every word.

 

Play "Bring me the item"

Pick up all of the items from the table and place them around the room. Then select a student and say "Bring me the (book)" – that student will have to stand up, locate the object and bring it to you (dropping into your bag). Do this for all the objects, each time selecting a different student. For a challenge, you can have everyone close and cover their eyes as you put the objects around the room.

Next, put students in pairs. Each pair should have one bag of the stationery objects between them (if you don't have enough for everyone you can use flashcards in a bag instead). One of the students should place different items around the room and then ask his/her partner to collect each item and place into his/her bag using the structures:

"Bring me the (pen), please."

"Put it into my bag."

"Thank you."

 

When the bag is full, the students can change roles.

Application of new material

 – Now repeat our new words and colours. Look at the blackboard and say in pairs:

What’s this? It’s a pencil. It is red.

Summing up

Do the "Colour" worksheet

Give out the worksheets and have each student colour the star in. As students are working away, circulate and ask questions (e.g. What's this? What color is this?).

Pupils say the words they’ve remembered.

Sing "Hello Song" (The end of it) .Encourage students to wave their hands.
