Підтема: Вживання умовних речень 2-го типу. Формування граматичних навичок

Цілі:

практична: продовжувати збагачувати лексико-граматичні знання учнів з теми «Природа і погода», вивчити різницю у значеннях слів a cause і a reason, тренувати учнів у розподілі природних катаклізмів за тематичними колонками, відточувати майстерність учнів у доповненні словами тексту, повторити правила утворення умовних речень 2-го типу, а також видо-часові форми дієслів Past Simple, Past Continuous, Future-in-the-Past Simple, закріпити вивчені граматичні структури виконанням вправ, тренувати учнів у складанні речень за допомогою опорних таблиць, розширювати кругозір учнів;

розвивальна: розвивати навички роботи з мультимедійним обладнанням, уміння працювати самостійно з картками, довготривалу пам'ять і увагу;

виховна: виховувати почуття єдності з природою, формувати усвідомлення могутності стихійних сил.

Тип уроку: формування граматичних навичок.

Обладнання: підручники, Unit 6, workbooks, робочі зошити і словники, мультимедійна дошка, мультимедійний пристрій, ноутбук, мультимедійні презентації “Natural Disasters. Second Conditional”, “Second Conditional. Exercises”, розрізні речення для роботи учнів біля дошки (в додатку після уроку).

І. ПІДГОТОВКА ДО СПРИЙНЯТТЯ ІНШОМОВНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ

Аim        2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Т. Look at the board. You can see the date and month of our lesson. Rewrite them into your copybooks and then write down the theme of our lesson “Second Conditional”. This topic is not new for you. You learnt it at the end of the first semester. So, our task now is just to revise the material in the context of Unit 6.

By the end of the lesson you should be able:

• to revise the words,
• to speak about difference between a cause and a reason,
• to group up the words in the box,
• to complete and read the text,
• to revise grammar rules about Second Conditional,
• to complete the list with your ideas,
• to match the suggestions with the possible results,
• to write questions by changing the form of the verbs in brackets and answer them,
• to do exercises from the cards.

Warm up        3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T. Look at the board. There is a rhyme for you. Listen and repeat each line after me. Then read with me. Finally read the rhyme yourselves.

(There are three versions of the rhyme: a full one and two other versions without some words. Pupils try to read the rhyme themselves without any help.)

Writing        3. Формування навичок письма.

• T. Complete the sentences with “cause” or “reason” in ex. 1, p. 146.
• T. Group up the words in the box according to the columns in ex. 2, p. 147.

Reading       4. Пред’явлення тексту для читання.

1.     Skimming.

T. Read the text quickly and say what it is about in ex. 3, p. 147.

2.     Scanning.

T. Read the text again and complete it with the words in the box.

Grammar Point        5. Вживання умовних речень 2-го типу.

(The class is working with the presentation “Natural Disasters. Second Conditional”.)

T. It is formed by:

•      conditional clause: if + Past Simple (підрядна частина)
•      main clause: would + infinitive without “to” (головна частина)

E.g. If you save your earth, it would be you a safe home. (Якби ви врятували свою землю, вона б стала для вас безпечним домом.)

Вживання:

1.     Для вираження малоймовірних подій у майбутньому.

E.g. If I gave up work, I would travel round the world. (Якби я звільнився з роботи, я б поїхав у навколосвітню подорож.)

2.     Для висловлення поради.

E.g. If you worked harder, you would pass your exam. (Якби ти працював старанніше, ти б здав екзамен.)

3.     У конструкції if I were you (a doctor, …) використовуємо допоміжне дієслово were замість was.

E.g. If I were a millionaire, I would buy an island. (Якби я був мільйонером, я б купив острів.)

Reading       6. Пред’явлення вправ для читання.

• PB ex. 1, p. 147 (Read and complete the list with the ideas given to you.)

(Teacher asks pupils to come to the blackboard and to choose the most suitable variants. Then stick these parts of the sentence on the blackboard and read.)

• PB ex. 2, p. 148 (Match the suggestions with the possible results. Read pairs: suggestions-results.)
• T. Watch a presentation “Second Conditional. Exercise”. Now try to make the conditional sentences and read them.

Writing        7. Розвиток навичок письма.

PB ex. 3, p. 148 (Use the phrases in the box and write questions by changing the form of the verbs in brackets. Then work in pairs. Take turns asking and answering the questions as in the rhyme above.)
