Урок-вікторина «We love English»

Підтема: Повторення та систематизація вивченого матеріалу з  теми. 

Мета: удосконалювати навички використання раніше введеного лексичного та граматичного матеріалу протягом теми; розвивати мовну здогадку та мовленнєву реакцію учнів; розвивати інтелектуальні здібності учнів; підвищити мотивацію до вивчення англійської мови за допомогою ігор; прищеплювати уміння працювати в команді та приймати спільне рішення; виховувати повагу до різних країн.

Тип уроку: урок - вікторина

Обладнання: інтерактивна дошка SMART; квітка – семибарвиця;  різнокольорові кружечки,  літери «We love English», назви команд.

Хід уроку

І. Початок уроку

1. Організація класу. Привітання

Teacher: Good morning!

Pupils:    Good morning sun,

        Good morning sky,

        Good morning say together,

Teacher: We like this day the best of all,

        And start the English lesson.

Teacher: Dear children, today we have guests at our lesson. We will show them what we have learnt at our English lessons. But first we will greet them together:

Pupils:     Good morning, good morning,
                Good morning  to you.
                Good morning, dear guests,
                We are glad to see you.

Teacher: Let’s begin our lesson! 
2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Teacher: Today we have unusual lesson. It is a quiz lesson. There are six contests in our quiz. They are:

1.“The ABC game”.

2. “Parts and wholes”

3. “Correct order”

4. “Funny baskets”

5. “The right choice”

6. “Magic balloons”

Teacher:  After each contest each team will get points. At the end of the lesson you should make up a sentence. 

3. Поділ учнів на команди.

Teacher: And now let’s divide you into two teams. Each team will have its own name.  And now we will give names to our teams. The name of the first team is ‘Smiles’ and the name of the other team is ‘Bubbles’. 

III. Основна частина уроку

1. Повторення та закріплення вивченого матеріалу.

Teacher: Now we are ready.  So, let’s start our contest. And the 1st contest of the game is called "The ABC game”. You’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of family members.  Each team can get 4 points. (Слайд 1)

- brother, mother, grandpa, dad

- father, sister, granny, mum

Teacher: The 2^nd  contest is called "Parts and wholes”. You should match these parts so as to get word combinations. You can get 1 point for each right answer. (Слайд 2)

- fly       a kite

  ride     a bike

- go         to the park       

  watch   TV

  read      a book

Teacher: And now the 3^rd contest which is called “Correct order”. Each team will get three sentences and your task is to put the words in the correct order. You can get 1 point for each right answer. (Слайд 3)

  fly cannot Dogs.  (Dogs cannot fly.)

  you Can swim?   (Can you swim?)

- paint they Can?  (Can they jump?)

  cannot Fish run.  (Fish cannot run.)

Teacher: The following task is for the rest. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should

read the action, show it to your team and they should repeat it and name it:

- dance

  swim

  play tennis

Teacher:  Let’s continue our contest. The 4th contest is called  “Funny baskets”. We’ve learnt three forms of the verb to be. What are they? They are am, is, are.  You should put the word into the correct place. (Слайд 4)

Teacher: The 5th contest is called "The right choice”.  Each team will get 3 sentences and your task is fill in them with the correct word: am/is/are . You will get 1 point for each right answer. (Слайд 5)

- My father ___ watching TV.

  I _____playing computer games.

  My sister and brother ____ flying a kite.

Teacher: Our last contest is called “Magic balloons”. Your task is to do sums and match the answers with words.  Each right answer will bring you 1 point. (Слайд 6)

III. Заключна частина уроку. 

1. Підсумок уроку.

Teacher: The score is… and the team  ….  is the winner. If you didn’t win the game, don’t worry, you are all clever guys.    

2. Рефлексія.

Teacher: You have red and green circles in front of you. Choose green ones if you like our lesson and if you don’t like it choose the red ones.

Teacher: We have done a lot of work today. I hope our guests are glad to visit you and they like our lesson. I’d like to thank you for good work. The lesson is over. Good bye!
