Тема: Wild and domestic animals

Мета: повторити назви диких та свійських  тварин, ознайомити учнів з цікавими фактами із життя тварин, тренувати учнів у вживанні навчального матеріалу попередніх уроків; удосконалювати навички аудіювання, читання, монологічного та діалогічного мовлення; розвивати пам’ять, увагу, навички мислення та говоріння англійською мовою; виховувати почуття любові до тварин та природи.

Обладнання: Flash cards “Animals”, комп’ютер,  іграшки тварини, роздаткові матеріали, підручник.

Тип уроку: урок узагальнення та систематизації знань.

1.Привітання.

ІІ. Основна частина.

1. Teacher: The theme of our lesson “Wild and domestic animals”. Revision words from the previous lesson.

Teacher: Stand up. Do what I say: walk, run, swim, fly, jump, stand still, sit down.

(The pupils do what the teacher says).

2. Acquaintance with new words.

The teacher shows flash cards and the children call them together.

3. The teacher shows flash cards and asks, “What is this?”

Teacher: What is this?

Pupil 1: This is a dog.

Teacher: What is this?

Pupil 2: This is a cat.

4. Game “What’s missing?”

     Teacher puts flash cards on the table and then takes 2 or 3 pictures and asks “What’s missing?

1. “Riddles”

        • I am not small.  I am  not big. I can run, jump, climb. I like milk. I like mice. I live

           in the house. (a Cat).

• It is very big and grey. It can walk. It has a very long nose. It lives in India and Africa. (An elephant)
• I live in the river. I am not fish. I am green. What am I? (a frog).
• I am from Africa. I am green. I am big. I am strong. I can swim very well. I like fish. (a Crocodile).
• I am from Russia. I am very big and brown. I can run, climb. I live in the forest.  (a Bear).
• It lives in the forest. It likes bananas. (A monkey).
• This animal likes grass. It is a domestic animal. It gives us milk. It’s black and white. (A cow).

2. Game “Wild or Domestic”.

     Pupils are divided into two teams. They have to choose “Wild and domestic” animals from flash cards

     Prepare the description of the animal.
