              Урок з англійської мови у 5 класі на тему: «Брати та сестри».

Тема уроку: “Brothers and sisters. The Present Simple Tense”

Мета уроку: повторити та закріпити назви членів родини; ввести нові ЛО теми; продовжити розвиток умінь та навичок складати невелику розповідь про свою родину; розвивати пам’ять, логічне мислення, мовлення учнів та граматичні уміння та навички; виховувати любов та поважливе ставлення до членів своєї родини.

Очікуваний результат: наприкінці уроку діти можуть назвати слова, які стосуються даної теми та розглядались на уроці; скласти невелику розповідь про своїх членів родини, а саме, про своїх братів та сестер; вміють вільно використовувати конструкції типу: I have/ haven’t got… .

                                                         Procedure

1. Greeting.

T: Hello, students. The topic of our today’s lesson is “Our brothers and sisters”.

2. Warming up.

Answer my questions:

1) Do you have any brothers or sisters?

2) How many brothers and sisters have you got?

3) What are their names?

4) Do you know any families with twin-children?

5) Do you think they are special people?

3. Check  on homework.

Ex. 4 p. 91 (in a written form); VB p.91 – learn the words.

4. Reading and discussing the rhyme.

I love you well, my little brother,
And you are fond of me;
Let us be kind to one another,
As brothers ought to be.
You shall learn to play with me,
And learn to use my toys;
And then I think that we shall be
Two happy little boys.

Find the words that are rhyme. Key: brother – another; of me – to be; with me – shall be; toys – boys.

5. New lexical units. VB p. 92-93.

twins; pain; power; to enjoy; to grow up; each other; together.

T: let’s make your own sentences with new words.

6. Reading.

Ex. 1 p. 92. Read, guess and match the words with their definitions. Key: 1-d; 2-a; 3-b; 4-c; 5-e.

7. Physical activity. A game “Simon says”.

8. Speaking.

Ex. 2 p. 92. Finish the sentences and discuss them in a group. ( own students’ answers).

Key words: defend me, play different games together, have fun, to teach him (her) doing things, not to share something with him (her).

9. Reading.

Ex. 3 p. 92. Read and say if the sentences are true or false.

Ex. 4 a) p. 93. Key: 1-d; 2-e; 3-c; 4-a; 5-b.

10. Ending of the lesson.

               1) Summarizing. Ex. 5 p. 94. Find sentences or pairs of sentences in the text above which show that … 

               2) Homework. Ex. 6 p. 94 ( in a written form). VB p. 92-93 to learn words. VB p. 91 – dictation.
