Aim: to introduce and raise interest on the topic

Sing a song 10 min

And now let’s listen to the song “My family photos”. While listening, point to the pictures you hear.

(students point to the pictures of family members: mother, father, sister, brother)

Well done, students! Now let’s sing this song together!

Good job! Now point to the picture and ask your friend “Who’s that?”(students work in pairs )

Aim: to practice rhythms, listening, speaking and vocabulary, practice structure Who’s that?

Matching and reading activity 10 min

Let’s do the matching task. You have to read the word and match it with the family members pictures. (learners work in pairs and match the word with the corresponding picture. Teacher monitor learners, while they read and match )

Aim: to develop reading skills, attention, thinking skills

Extension and personalization 15 min

Well done! So, your next task is to draw your family members. Then come to the front and answer the questions. For example: Who’s that, Max? It’s my father. (learners draw their family members, then they go to the front with their pictures and answer the questions. )

Good job! Let’s hang all your pictures on the wall and write the heading My Family (Students make a classroom display with the pictures. )
