He’s got much/lots of sandwiches in his lunchbox. 6. We saw many/a lot of tasty cakes in the supermarket. Task 2 - Read and complete the sentences with much/many/a lot of/lots of. 1. There are … apples on the plate. 2. There isn’t … butter in the fridge. 3. Do you need … eggs for this cake? 4. Ann eats … fruit and vegetables. 5. They usually buy … bread. 6. Is there … water in the mug? Task 3 - Look, John’s fridge is full of tasty things. Write three sentences about what he has got in his fridge. Then, read your sentences to the class. The students do the task all together explaining their choice. 1. Have you got a lot of cheese? 2. We bought lots of fruit. 3. There isn’t much milk in the fridge. 4. How many apples have you got? 5. He’s got lots of sandwiches in his lunchbox. 6. We saw a lot of tasty cakes in the supermarket. The students do the task by themselves. Then they read their answers to check up. 1. There are a lot of apples on the plate. 2. There isn’t much butter in the fridge. 3. Do you need many eggs for this cake? 4. Ann eats lots of fruit and vegetables. 5. They usually buy lots of bread. 6. Is there much water in the mug? The students write their sentences. Eg. John has got lots of bananas. John hasn’t got many oranges. Etc. IV.
