We Are Happy
We can really say
We are very happy and gay
Because we study at school
And we don’t make a fool.
Our school is old but nice
It constantly unites all of us.
Our teachers try to do the best
To give us their knowledge first.
We can write and count
All things, everything around.
Also we can quickly read
A lot of books we need.
Then they teach us to love Ukraine
How to travel about it by train,
To help each other in any case,
To appreciate kindness and something else.
A lot of thanks we want to say
To all our teachers every day
For everything they have done,
For loyal way we’ve gone.

It’s necessary to have a rest And always try to do the best To get from nature so much health And use intelligently its wealth.
It’s necessary to have a talk After a long nice walk To share with somebody thoughts About the beauty of rocks.
It’s necessary to have dinner And think how to become thinner To eat more vegetables and fruit
It’s necessary to have a look At different kinds of books. They develop our imagination And give us so much information.
It’s necessary to go in for sports To play games of any sort. Strong and healthy always be Good results in competitions see.
And do the best even in mind To help and wish all people well And never anybody bad words tell.
It’s necessary to give much love To all people, not a half Nothing need instead of that Ask the blessing of God yet.

Come with me and you’ll see
Great waves on the heavy sea,
Bright stars in the blue sky,
A lot of white crane’s fly.
Come with me and you’ll hear
The breath of grass quite near.
The whisper of beautiful flowers
You can listen to for hours.
Come with me and you’ll feel
Freshness of air a great deal,
Mighty of the thunder peal,
The beauty of nature so real.
Come with me and you’ll find
The greatness of love of any kind,
A lot of quiet and peace of mind
And how your fatigue you can wind.
We Are Ukrainians
Ukraine
My dear friend, look around.
Can you see this beautiful ground.
You are right, it’s your land
A little piece of our Motherland.
Ukraine is the country of rivers and lakes,
Beautiful mountains its territory make.
There are many forests, valleys and hills
Where a lot of different animals live.
Small towns, big cities and villages
Are connected with different bridges.
Ukraine is famous for many interesting sights
That a lot of tourists to see like.
Ukrainians are talented, hard-working and great
Hospitable, friendly, caring and brave.
They proclaimed the independence of the state.
They fought for its better fate.
Our Planet Needs Help
We’ve polluted a lot of rivers, lakes and seas,
We’ve cut down thousands of trees.
With cars and factories we’ve polluted the air
Now we’ve got serious health problems every year.
Millions of fish, animals and plants are killed,
The oceans with rubbish from the cities are filled.
And now we have got only one solution
We must take care of pollution.
We should plant trees, our natural resources,
We should clean water in different sources.
We should try to keep clean the air,
We must fight against weapons nuclear.
We should turn off the light
When we leave our flat and at night.
We must protect the environment from danger
We must take great care of nature.
Meet My Friends
We Are Alike
How often we hear: “It was all right”,
As usual, lovely, exciting and bright.
It was fantastic. It was not so bad.
It was OK, normal and great.
But we don’t want to hear: “It’s awful and dull”.
Because we don’t want our life to lull.
It must be active all the time
In spite of events and frame of mind.
We have many different ways of life
But we are very much alike.
We must all have water and food,
We all want to be comfortable and good.
We all need friendship and love
We all like beautiful things all above
We are from different families and birth
We are the people of planet Earth!
Seasons of the Year
Spring comes, everything is in blossom
From deep dream everything awakes.
It gives the chance to change the clothes,
It gives again for life a hope.
Summer gives the warm dawn
For everybody it chooses colour its own.
It gives the right to have a rest,
To do everything for your best.
Autumn covers with gold the ground,
With falling leaves all around.
It presents all people with fruit
And proposes them new suits.
Strong frosty, snowy winter
It teaches everyone to be a winner.
Over windy snow-storms and cold
And never feel oneself old.
Every season has its own tradition,
To celebrate its holidays we pass the decision.
What way do people them celebrate?
It depends on the country and certainly the date.
New Year, Christmas, St. Valentine’s Day,
Easter, Victory, Independence Day.
In honour of people, with a firework and parade
We like their celebration and our houses to decorate.
The Importance of Books
A lot of books to find I need,
Lots of books I have to read
To hold my greatest attention,
To develop my full imagination.
Books are our friends and teachers.
They are full of heroes’ features.
They contain different information,
Made up stories and inventions.
Books fill us with great emotions.
They show us their truth and devotion.
Books give us for life inspiration.
They evoke our great admiration.
Books teach us a success to achieve,
To love our life and people believe,
To be brave, noble and kind,
Hard-working, clever and polite.
Books teach us the beauty of nature understand,
To love other people and our Motherland.
They teach people how to live
And way to despair never give.
Books are beautiful, of different kinds.
At the library we can mostly them find.
Fiction, non-fiction, ancient and modern,
Hold our interest usually all of them.
In order all the books you have to keep
Return the books in time you need.
Don’t loose your books and take them care,
Let them always be your friends fair.
Favourite Things
Everybody has got favourite things
And always new ones home brings.
It’s a skateboard, a bike, a scooter,
A pet, a Walkman, a watch or a computer.
My name’s John. A Walkman is my favourite thing.
Where I go I always and everywhere it bring.
And also I like my rollerblades,
I use them in summer, but in winter I skate.
My friend Bob is a talkative boy.
He uses his mobile phone as a toy.
When I see him, he always speaks
And certainly a lot of money he needs.
My sister Kate has got a pet.
Its name is Leo, he’s a cat.
He’s so beautiful, white and fat
And she put him on her page in the net.
Take care of your favourite things
Because joy and pleasure they bring.
Always put them in a suitable place:
On the shelf, in the box or a special case.
Animals
A lot of people have got different pets:
Parrots, turtles, hamsters, dogs and cats.
They walk them, like to feed.
They clean their places and cages need.
Cheetahs, pumas, lions and tigers live in the wild.
They are afraid of humans and often hide.
They’ve got big and strong paws,
Nice fur, long tails and sharp claws.
Crocodiles are interesting creatures.
People can also find them in the nature.
They’ve got very sharp teeth and strong tails,
Seeing them you can hear some wails.
A lot of animals are endangered.
We must protect them from danger.
And certainly during the whole year
We must take of them great care.
