13. English names

16. The interpreter

In the future someone of you probably will be the interpreter. And you should begin to train now. Let’s do it now. Imagine that nobody here knows English. And only you can translate everything. I read the text and every participant should translate it from English to Ukrainian.

1. The capital of Great Britain is London. The Queen is the head of state. There are not many countries in the world that keep old traditions. The UK is one of them. The British people are very proud of their traditions and customs. They respect the queen, the Royal family, the laws of their country.

2. The favourite topic of conversations in the UK is the weather. The English say that they have 3 variants of weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon and when it rains all day long. But don’t be afraid. In rainy weather you can visit some galleries, museums and exhibitions.
