Урок № 1

Тема: Після концерту

Мета:  Ознайомити учнів з лексичними одиницями (band, lean over, walk out, give a hand) і навчити оперувати ними у мовленні;

 Навчити читати діалог з вилученням основної інформації; 

             Практикувати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення;

         Практикувати учнів у читанні;

        Ознайомити учнів із особливістю вживання дієслів say, speak, tell, talk.

         Розвивати логічне мислення і мовленнєву реакцію, розвивати навики читання;

 Виховувати культуру спілкування, інтерес до культури країни, мова якої вивчається.

Обладнання: Підручник, картки для роботи в групах , для роботи в парах .

Мета: Ознайомити учнів із правилами утворення підрядних речень часу та умови для позначення майбутньої дії;

Повторити і закріпити лексику теми в усному мовленні;

 Практикувати  навички діалогічного мовлення;

Практикувати учнів у читанні;

Розвивати логічне мислення, пам'ять, творчі здібності учнів;

 Виховувати прагнення розширювати світогляд.

Presenting grammar material.

Учитель записує на дошці речення та пропонує одному з учнів перекласти їх рідною мовою:

Учитель звертає увагу учнів на граматичні часи дієслів у реченнях англійської мови та відповідних їм реченнях рідної мови. Учні за допомогою вчителя роблять висновки щодо вживання граматичних часів у підрядних реченнях часу та умови для позначення майбутньої дії. Потім учитель пропонує одному з учнів вголос прочитати правила у рамці на с. 65 підручника. Учень читає, учитель коментує та пояснює, якщо необхідно.

Мета:  Ознайомити учнів з основними стилями у музиці та їх представниками;

 Повторити й активізувати лексику теми;

Ознайомити учнів із новою лексикою теми та закріпити її в усному мовленні;  Практикувати навички діалогічного мовлення за темою;

Удосконалювати навички читання.

Формувати естетичні смаки учнів; Виховувати спостережливість та формувати естетичні смаки.

T: Let’s make acquaintance with some types of music.

P1: Folk music is a kind of music of working or country people of a particular nation or area, developed over many years and of which the original songwriter or composer is not usually known.

P2: Jazz is characterized by a strong beat and some free playing of each musician, it was originated by black Americans.

P3: Rock’n’roll is a style of music that was popular in 1950s but is still played now, which has a strong loud beat, repeats a few simple phrases and is usually played on electrical instruments. It was first made popular by Bill Halley and Elvis Presley.

P4: Classical music is the one written with serious artistic intentions and having an attraction that lasts over a long period of time.

P5: Trance is a style of electronic dance music.

P6: Rap music is a type of pop music in which the words of a song are spoken in time with music, with a steady beat.

ALANIS HYPNOTISES CROWD

  1. Last Thursday night, hundreds of fans went to the Corn Exchange in Cam­bridge to see Canadian singer Alanis Morissette. There was not an empty seat anywhere in the auditorium, although it was an incredibly cold night. " Sure is cold outside, but I hope we warm it up in here for you", Morissette said to the crowd before she started to play.
  2. Morissette used a lot of material from the first album Conflict. She also played a few songs from her new album, such as "Everything But...", which tells the story of someone looking for love in the wrong places. Morissette's singing was full of feeling; some songs with anger and some with love.
  3. Although the auditorium was cold and the sound was sometimes poor, the audience really loved the concert. Morissette hypnotized everybody with her performance. Many people in the crowd were obviously real fans and they knew the words and they sang along to nearly every song.
  4. At the end of the concert, Morissette showed that she was a true performer, with a brilliant version of "Heartache". She finished with her latest single "Ironic" — a song about being a star. While I watched and listened, I knew that I was seeing the performance of a real star.

The Beatles.

British musical group appeared in the 1960s. The principal members were Paul McCartney (in full Sir James Paul McCartney; born June 18, 1942, Liverpool,  England), John Lennon (born February 25, 1943, Liverpool), and Ringo Starr (by name of Richard Starkey; born July 7, 1940, Liverpool).

 First they performed together in Liverpool in 1957. The group played American rock-and-roll. Throughout the winter and the spring of 1963, the Beatles continued their rise to fame. Those four young men were loved by thousands of people especially girls. A new word “Bitlomania” appeared in the vocabulary. Their songs: pop ballad “Yesterday”, hard rock song “Tomorrow Never Knows”, folk tune “Norwegian Wood” and many others were extremely popular. They were awarded by the Queen. To great regret of their fans the Beatles parted in 1971. In 1980 a big tragedy happened: John Lennon was killed. Today the Beatles are as popular as they were many years ago.

FREDDIE MERCURY

Farrokh Bulsara is the real name of one of the most ____________ singers and

                                             POP STYLES

Blues traditional black American music. "Blue" means "sad", and many blues songs are about how hard life was for black people.

Gospel religious music sung in churches in the southern USA.

Rhythm and Blues black workers in the USA moved from the farms to the cities. They played the blues with electric guitars — this became "rhythm and blues".

Country and Western the music of poor white Americans in the 1930 and 1940s. It is still the most popular music in the southern USA.

Rock'n'Roll many radio stations in the USA in the 1950s would not play "black" music. Elvis Presley was one of the first white singers to mix "rhythm and blues" and "country and western". The result was rock'n'roll.

Soul a mixture of "gospel" and "rhythm and blues". The most successful soul singers are probably Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

Heavy Metal a style based on "rhythm and blues", but with the instru­ments amplified so that they are extremely loud. Led Zeppelin was one of the first group to do this.

Reggae this started in Jamaica. It is a mixture of American styles "rhythm and blues". Bob Marley made it popular.

Rap in the 1980s, disc-jockeys in dance clubs began half singing and half talking over instrumental music — and "rap" music was born.

House 1990s dance music based on very fast rhythms and modem elec­tronic sounds. There are now various sub-styles of "house music", such as "techno pop", "trance" and "jungle".
