Тема: Crime.
Мета: закріпити та узагальнити вивчене по темі «Злочин»; розвивати навики монологічного та діалогічного мовлення , навики аудіювання, читання та письма; закріпити знання учнів на використання пасивного стану теперішнього та минулого часів; розвивати логічне мислення, уяву, творчість, увагу, пам'ять і швидку реакцію та здогадку в учнів та навики вживання вивченої лексики, стимулювати в учнів інтерес та підтримку мотивації в оволодінні мовленнєвою діяльністю на уроках англійської мови, розвивати навики роботи в парах.
Виховна мета: виховувати законно слухняність та повагу до інших людей.
Обладнання: комп’ютер, відео презентація для аудіювання, проектор, конверти з реченнями, презентація, цікаві інтерактивні вправи.
Хід уроку
І. Організаційний момент
Уч. Пісня-вітання «Hello, hello, hello! We are glad to meet you. We are glad to greet you».
Вч. I’m glad to meet and greet you too. The day is fine, and I present you smiles because I want you to be in a good mood. Being optimistic can save your life.
How are you? How do you feel today? Are you O.K.?
II. Оголошення теми уроку.
The theme of our lesson is “Crime”. (Слайд 1) It’s not the most exciting thing to talk about it but unfortunately it is an integral part of our life. On TV news, in movies, in detective stories we can hear, see or read about crime. It’s our final lesson and your task is to show your knowledge on the topic.

So this morning I’ve found an announcement in the newspaper. Look at it.
Mr. SHERLOCK HOMES OPENS (Слайд 2)
“School for young detectives”
You must be able:
- Have you ever heard about Sherlock Holmes?
- Do you want to enter this school? Then let’s check your knowledge!

First of all I want you to listen to some information about Sherlock Homes and do a test. Учні виконують завдання самостійно, потім перевіряють відповіді разом з учителем і оцінюють самі себе.

Listen to the video presentation and write if the statements are “True” or “False”. (Слайд 3)

V. Мовленнєва зарядка.
Гра «У мене є запитання. Хто має відповідь?» I’ve got a question. Who has got an answer? I give you a few cards. There is a question on one side of the card and an answer to the other question on the other side of the card. One pupil reads a question and another one reads an answer from his card. Вчитель роздає учням картки, на одній стороні яких є запитання, на другій стороні відповідь на інше запитання.

VI. Основна частина уроку.
Activity 1: Повторення лексики до теми «Злочин». Учень біля дошки заповнює Mind Map, інші учні допомагають йому в цьому, називаючи слова до теми. Let’s review the words to the topic “Crime” and complete the Mind Map.

Activity 2: Name the criminals according these types of crime. Учні називають злочинців згідно цих видів злочину.
They are: a robber, a thief, a kidnapper, a shoplifter, a pickpocket, a vandal, a murderer, a forger, a corruptor, a fraudster, a smuggler, a terrorist, a mugger.
Activity 3: Read the definitions and guess the criminals and other words. Прочитати визначення та вгадати, про якого злочинця іде мова, та інші слова. (Слайд 6)

a person who takes goods illegally from a shop without paying for them is ... (shoplifter)
a person, often in a group, who intentionally damages public or private property is … (vandal)
a person who illegally enters buildings and steals things is … (burglar)
a thief who steals things out of pockets or bags, especially in a crowd is … (pickpocket)
a person who takes money from a bank or business is … (robber)
a person who can cause harm unless somebody pays the money is … (kidnapper)
an amount of money that has to be paid as a punishment for not obeying a rule or law … (fine)
someone whose job is to give advice to people about the law and speak for them in court … (lawyer)

Activity 4: Reciting a poem. To be in Sherlock Holmes’s School you have to know a poem about crime. So who can recite a poem? Учні декламують авторський вірш вчителя. (Слайд 7)
Crime
Unfortunately in the world there is a crime,
That sometimes it’s difficult to define.
Some people are furious, disappointed and upset,
And the offence they can’t forget.
They can forge the documents and cheat,
And a lot of other crimes commit.
A shoplifter can certainly something steal
And any fault in this case feel.
Some people can kidnap a person and kill.
And hide the body somewhere on the hill.
Robbers and burglars rob a bank and a flat.
They certainly know their work off pat.
Escaping from the police criminals have to do different actions:
Pull, push, hide, jump, climb and even fall into satisfaction.
Detectives have to interview a witness and look for clues,
Take fingerprints, search the area and nothing lose.
Everybody must always to the law keep,
Learn a lot and gain some knowledge deep.
Before doing something, think all the time,
If it’s really worth committing a crime.

Dialogue 1. - At the Police Station
Police officer: Good morning. How can I help you?
Tom: Good morning. I'd like to report a stolen bike.
Police officer: When did it happen?
Tom: Yesterday afternoon, around 4 p.m.
Police officer: Where was the bike?
Tom: It was outside the library. I locked it, but it's gone.
Police officer: Can you describe the bike?
Tom: Yes, it's red with black wheels and a basket on the front.
Dialogue 2 - In the Street
Emma: Did you hear about the robbery at the supermarket?
Liam: No! What happened?
Emma: Someone broke in last night and stole some money.
Liam: That's terrible! Was anyone hurt?
Emma: No, luckily no one was there.
Liam: Did the police catch the thief?
Emma: Not yet. They're checking the CCTV.
Liam: I hope they find him soon.

Sophie: Look at that man. He's acting strangely.
Jake: What do you mean?
Sophie: He's looking around and hiding something in his jacket.
Jake: Do you think he stole something?
Sophie: Maybe. Should we tell someone?
Jake: Let's talk to the shop assistant.
Sophie: Good idea. It's better to be safe.
Jake: I'll go now. You stay here and watch him.
Dialogue 4 - Lost Property
Anna: Oh no! I can't find my phone!
Ben: When did you last see it?
Anna: I had it in the café.
Ben: Maybe someone took it.
Anna: You mean someone stole it?
Ben: It's possible. Let's ask the manager.
Anna: OK. I hope someone returned it.
Ben: If not, we should report it to the police.

Olivia: I saw something crazy today.
Leo: What happened?
Olivia: I saw a man steal a woman's bag!
Leo: Really? What did you do?
Olivia: I called the police immediately.
Leo: That was brave! Did they catch him?
Olivia: Yes, thanks to the CCTV.
Leo: Wow! You were a real hero.
Dialogue 6 - School Talk
Teacher: Today we're talking about crimes and safety.
Mia: Can we talk about cybercrime?
Teacher: Great idea! What do you know about it?
Mia: It's when people steal information online.
Max: Like hacking or online scams?
Teacher: Exactly. How can we protect ourselves?
Mia: Use strong passwords and don't share personal info.
Max: And never click strange links.
Activity 8: Драматизація короткої сценки. Some pupils prepared a short scene. Let’s see it. (Слайд 15)
Title: Who Took the Exam Answers?
Characters: Mr. Tailor (teacher)
Sophie: (top student)
Jake (always in trouble)
Nina (class monitor)
Scene: In the classroom before the exam. Mr. Taylor looks angry.
Mr. Tailor: Class, something serious happened. The exam answer sheet has gone missing from my desk!
Sophie: That’s terrible! Who would do that?
Jake: Don’t look at me! I didn’t even know there was an exam today!
Nina: Wait … I left my key on the teacher’s desk during break …
Mr. Tailor: Then someone could have used them!
(All look around. Sophie looks suspicious.)
Jake: Maybe it wasn’t me after all. What about Sophie? She always wants to get top marks.
Sophie: What?! I study hard! I don’t cheat!
(Suddenly Mr. Tailor finds the answer sheet … in the printer tray)
Mr. Tailor: Oh … The answer sheet wasn’t stolen – it was printed and left in the wrong place!
All: Seriously?
Mr. Tailor: I’m sorry for accusing you, Jake. Next time I’ll check the printer first.
Jake: Thank you. Justice!
Sophie: Can we please start the exam now?
All: Let’s do it!
