Good afternoon, my dear friends! Today we have a very interesting lesson on which we will learn how to describe pictures. I believe, everyone can say that it’s easy to do, but it is not so.
Our lesson I want to start with proverb «There’s no bad weather, there are bad clothes». Children, how do you think what is it about? Lets try to translate it? Maybe, someone guessed which is the theme of our lesson? – Yes, you are right. It’s about seasons, nature and weather

Now, children, let's learn some difficult words which we will find in the text. Look at the blackboard. First listen and repeat after me:
Aivazovsky Айвазовський,

Now, I want to read you the description of I. Aivazovsky`s picture about winter nature. Here is the picture. So, look at it and listen to me attentively.
“I.Aivazovsky depicts a winter nature. This is a real tale. In the center of the picture is the road. It is practically uncovered with snow. Maybe it is early winter. There are the trees on the sides of the road. They have already covered with snow. Also on the way are going two people. A painter didn't draw them in detail. We can only assume these are the figures of a man and a woman.
With skilful using of colors Aivazovsky depicts the beauty of winter. But the winter landscape needs not only white color. The painter used also the shades of white, grey, blue, pink and even black. I.Aivazovsky depicts the sky in blue, deep blue and pink tones.”
