2. Виховна: формувати у учнів повагу та інтерес до культури та народу Великої Британії, виховувати культуру спілкування.
3. Розвиваюча: розвивати в учнів зацікавленість до вивчення іноземної мови, поглиблювати пізнавальну мотивацію, розвивати емоціональну атмосферу та їх актерські здібності, розвивати вміння висловлюватись на задану тему без підготовки.
4. Освітня: розширити знання учнів про Велику Британію, розширювати загальний та лінгвістичний кругозір учнів.
Хід уроку
1.Organisation moment.
Teacher: Good afternoon, I am glad to see you. Let’s begin our lesson. We have a very unusual lesson today. We will travel to Great Britain, the country with unique culture and history, the country with the first Parliament, basis of democracy in Europe, the land of brave people like admiral Nelson and queen Elizabeth if we want to the UK we must know English well and work hard at school.
2.The Aims of the Lesson.
Last year we studied the theme Great Britain. So you know some facts about it. This year we will continue to learn it. So begin our travelling.
3. Warm up
Close your eyes and imagine you are on an aeroplane. You look out of the
window and see the clouds. The plane is arriving at the airport and you feel a little
bit nervous as you land. You get out of the plane. You are in England. You follow the signs to get your suitcase. You get your suitcase and walk out of the airport. You can’t believe that you are in London at last. You decide to catch a taxi to your hotel in the centre of the city.
You arrive at your hotel and leave your bag in your room. You look out of your bedroom window.
You look up at the sky,
You decide to go for a walk outside to start exploring the city. There are lots of people on the street.
You see buses on the street.
You feel hungry so you stop for something to eat.
So, open your eyes. And look at me ? I’ll be your guide today, but you will help me.

Today we will talk about England and it’s capital London, but first of all let’s remember what did we study about The UK and Northern Ireland.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland covers an area of some 244 thousand square miles. It is situated on the British Isles. The British Isles are separated from Europe by the Strait of Dover and the English Channel. The British Isles are washed by the North Sea in the east and the Atlantic Ocean in the west.
The population of Great Britain is about 60 million. The largest cities of the country are London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The territory of Great Britain is divided into four parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Every country has it’s own capital. The capital of Northern Ireland is_____(Belfast)
