ІНТЕГРОВАНИЙ УРОК З АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ ТА ГЕОГРАФІЇ ЗА ТЕМОЮ «ВЕЛИКА БРИТАНІЯ» для учнів 10-11 класів

Цілі уроку:

1. Освітня: розвиток монологічного та діалогічного мовлення, розуміння іншомовної мови на слух з подальшим вилученням необхідної інформації з тексту, навчання роботі з картою англійською мовою.

2. Виховна: підвищення мотивації вивчення іноземних мов. Формування комунікативної компетенції, вміння працювати в групах та індивідуально, допомагати один одному, виховання вміння слухати іншомовну мову на слух та витягувати з неї необхідну інформацію.

3. Розвиваюча: розвиток готовності до відтворення вивченого матеріалу, розвиток логічного мислення, розвиток швидкості та правильності виконання завдань шляхом мотивації, розвиток ерудованості в учнів.

засоби : карта англомовних країн, контурні карти, мультимедійна техніка, презентація, аудіоматеріал, візуальні картки із визначними пам'ятками Лондона.

Методи навчання: репродуктивний, пошуковий, евристичний.

Методи організації: усне запровадження матеріалу та письмове закріплення.

Рефлексія: письмові відповіді (робота з контурними картами, робота з тестом)

Сьогодні ми з вами на уроці говоритимемо про «Велику Британію» - країну дивовижної краси, з багатою історією та віковими традиціями. Батьківщина багатьох видатних діячів та всесвітньо визнаний туристичний центр.

Вчитель англійської мови  : Good morning, dear pupils! Let's begin our lesson and today we will talk about one of the greatest European countries- Great Britain. This is the royal family, unique culture and customs, the oldest architectural monuments, haunted family castles, chapels and cathedrals, ancient universities, lively cities and quaint villages that have not changed over the centuries.

Основна частина уроку:

Учитель географії. Давайте ознайомимося із загальною характеристикою цієї держави. Великобританія омивається Атлантичним океаном та його морями - Північним та Ірландським, протоками ла-Манш, Па-де-кале, Північним та Святого Георга. Берегова лінія сильно розчленована затоками (фіордами на півночі та естуаріями на півдні), утворює значні півострова Уельс та Корноул. На території Великобританії є багато річок, щоправда, вони не багатоводні, і дрібних озер. Найвідомішою річкою є Темза, яка протікає у столиці королівства – Лондоні. Великобританія має значні запаси корисних копалин. Особливо вона багата на кам'яне вугілля. На шельфі північного моря в 60-70-х роках 20 століття знайдено нові великі енергоресурси - нафту і природний газ.

Клімат помірний, океанічний, вологий, з м'якою зимою і прохолодним літом, тому що сильний вплив надає тепла течія Гольфстрім. Середні температури січня 3-7 град., липня – 11-17. Опадів на рівнинах випадає 600-700 мм, у горах 1000-3000 мм на рік, часті дощі і тумани.

Ми з вами ознайомилися з економіко-географічним становищем та політичним режимом Великобританії і  зараз нашій увазі пропонується переглянути ваші презентації, які ви виконували у групах. 1. The Geographical Position of Great Britain (1)

There are two large islands and several smaller ones, which lie in the north-west coast of Europe. Collectively they are known as the British Isles. The largest island is called Great Britain. The smaller one is called Ireland. Great Britain is separated from the continent by the English Channel. The country is washed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Great Britain is separated from Belgium and Holland by the North Sea, and from Ireland - by the Irish Sea.

In the British Isles there are two states. One of them governs of the most of the island of Ireland. This state is usually called the Republic of Ireland. The other state has authority over the rest of the territory. The official name of this country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. But it is usually known by a shorter name - "The United Kingdom". The total area of Great Britain is 244,000 square km.

They say that the British love of compromise is the result of the country's physical geography. This may or may not be true, but it certainly true that the land and climate in Great Britain have a notable lack of extremes. The mountains in the country are not very high. It doesn't usually get very cold in  winter or very not in summer. It has no active volcanoes, and the earth tremors which does no more than rattle teacups in a few houses which is reported in the national news media. The insular geographical position of Great Britain promoted the development of shipbuilding, different training contacts with other countries.

2. Political System of Great Britain (2)

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a constitutional monarchy. It means that the sovereign reigns but does not rule.

Britain does not have a written constitution, but a set of laws.

Parliament is the most important authority in Britain. Technically Parliament is made up of three parts: the Monarch, the House of Lords; and the House of Commons. In reality the House of Commons is the only one of the three which has true power.

The monarch serves formally as head of state. But the monarch is expected to be politically neutral and should not make political decisions.

The present sovereign is Queen Elizabeth II. She was crowned in Westminster Abbey in 1953. In September, 8 in 2022 the Queen  died.

There are few political parties in Britain thanks to the British electoral system. The main ones are: the Conservative Party, the Labour Party and the Liberal / Social Democratic Alliance.

Each political party puts up one candidate for each constituency. The one who wins the most votes is elected MP for that area.

The party which wins the most seats in Parliament forms the Government. Its leader becomes the Prime Minister. His first job is to choose his Cabinet. The Prime Minister usually takes policy decisions with the agreement of the Cabinet.

Parliament is responsible for British national policy. Local governments are responsible for organizing of education, police and many others.
