Конспект уроку з англійської мови у 7 класі

Тема:  «Travelling»

Мета уроку:

 

Практична: контроль мовленнєвих навичок з теми «Подорож», продовжувати вдосконалювати лексико-граматичні навички читання, аудіювання та говоріння з теми уроку;

Розвиваюча: розвивати мислення, пам'ять, самостійність, вдосконалювати навички зв’язного мовлення, розвивати інтелект, стимулювати розвиток пізнавальної активності.

Виховна:  виховувати бажання до набуття знань та практичного їх застосування на уроках іноземної мови, почуття гідності, прищеплювати почуття відповідальності.

Тип уроку. Урок узагальнення та систематизації отриманих знань.

Оснащення уроку. Текст для читання, тест для аудіювання, мультимедійна презентація, малюнки, пісні,підручник.

Greeting. Motivation

 

T. Hello, pupils! How are you?

Ps .We’re super ,thank you.

We’re got spirits! Yes, we do.

We’re got spirits! What about you?

T. I’ve got spirits, too. So, let s sit down and start our work.

 

Warming up

 

T. I hope you are all fine and are ready to work hard at our English lesson. Today we go on talking about ... Wait! I want you to guess the theme of our lesson.

Let’s try ... I have prepared a crossword puzzle for you. If you guess all the words correctly, you will be able to name the topic of our lesson. You have some minutes. Read only the first letters of your answers.

You buy it, if you want to go by bus, or by plane, or by car. (ticket)

A grey animal, likes cheese, but it’s bigger than a mouse. ( rat)

Where can you see a lot of planes? ( airport)

Tomatoes and cucumbers are… (vegetables)

Some birds can lay … (egg)

Name the antonym to the world “hate”. (love)

It’s a sour yellow fruit. (lemon)

It is a cold thing. You can find it in winter, you can skate on it. ( ice)

You can smell with it. It is a part of our body, face (nose)

Introduction to the lesson

 

T. Now you see that the topic of our lesson is ”Travelling”. We are going to speak on this topic as much as possible, to remember the words, to read texts, to listen and do many other interesting things.  

Boys and girls! Look here. This is the motto of our lesson. Who wants to read it? Try to translate it all together.

T.  And this is the epigraph for our lesson:

“The world is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page”

Main part of lesson

 

T. We know that many people are fond of traveling.

 First of all, let’s discuss why people like travelling.

     Ps.-can visit many different countries

- can see many beautiful places

- can visit friends, relatives

- can try foreign food

- can practice foreign languages

- can learn other people’s culture and traditions

- can visit tourist attractions

- can make friends

- can expand outlook

- can buy souvenirs

- can get unforgettable impressions

T. Why do you like to travel?

 Ps. I want to learn about different countries, culture and sightseeing’s.

 Ps. Travelling is good because you meet new friends.

 Ps. I can visit famous museums, galleries, buy souvenirs.

 Ps. I can learn about national traditions of many countries.

T. What means of transport do you know? Let’s refresh all the words as for this topic in our memory. Come here children, please. Make a circle, I have many cards with different means of transport, your task is to name them.

T. Well done. Take your seats, please.

T. As you know, many people like to travel by air as it is the fastest way of travelling. A lot of people like to travel by sea others by land because they can look at passing beautiful views.

 Now I want you to work in pairs.  Look at my magical box. Let’s remember proverbs about travelling. Match two parts and translate them. Take your sheet of paper and find your partner.                                            


1. There is no place, like home.          2. Every country has its customs.                                            3. East or West, home is best.             4. All roads lead to Rome.

5. Dry bread at home is better, than roast meat abroad.

6. Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.


T. Well done. Take your seats, please.

T. You should complete the table with as many means of transport as possible. You have got 3 minutes. When your time is up, choose one person, a speaker, and he will answer. Start working, please.

 Ps. As for me, I prefer travelling by plane because it is the quickest way of travelling and I don’t  want to waste my time on holiday.

 

Ps. I enjoy travelling by car because I don’t have to buy tickets and carry my heavy luggage. I can stop at any place I like. I can enjoy the beauty of nature and take pictures.

Ps. I prefer to travel by car too because I can stop when and there I want and enjoy nature.

Ps. I think trains are more comfortable and more convenient, because I can relax and sleep there. It is not expensive. I like looking at villages, forests through the window.

Ps. I like travelling by bike because it is more economical and cleaner for the environment.

Ps. I d like to travel in a gondola because it would be very relaxing and much more romantic than other means of transport.

Ps. I prefer to travel by sea because I enjoy the wind and the sea.

 

Listening activity

T. You see that “Tastes differ “. But I’m sure everybody likes to travel because it is an amazing experience. But different people spend their time on holiday in different ways.

And now take your books and open them at page 67.Look at the pictures. What would you  like to know about the places in the pictures? Write one question for each picture. You have one minute.       

Are you ready? Listen and see if you can answer them.

Can you answer the questions now? So, read your questions for the first picture and try to answer.

T. Every country has many own landmarks. Your home task for today was to tell me about Ukrainian sightseeing’s. Present it to the class.

T. Now we are coming to the end of the lesson. Let’s sum up!

Now I’ll give you some circles. You should draw a happy face and a sad face. I will ask you some questions. If you have a positive emotion- show a happy face, if you have a negative emotion- show a sad face
