Aim: to present vocabulary and practise its using to develop student’s memory, critical thinking, creativity and leadership skills;
to encourage student’s interest in English vocabulary and grammar;
Learning outcomes: by the end of the lesson students will be able to use vocabulary, grammar (Past Simple)
Procedure
Greetings: - Good morning, boys and girls! Hope you are fine!
Are you ready for the lesson? What have you got for our English lesson?
How are you today?
Warming up: Chant: I was born in Ukraine. And I live here.
My family and friends are also here.
I love my country. I love Ukraine.
I care for my homeland every day.
Today we are going to speak about our homes, using Past Simple, we will learn new vocabulary and improve our skills. The motto of our today’s lesson is: Always, always, always practise – never stop!

Choose one flashcard and find the opposite of your word ( students make pairs) –
each pair has a task to make a sentence:
Writing
1 There is a cosy armchair in the living –room.
2 There are modern windows in this room.
3 There is a large sofa in the house.
4 There are old-fashioned table in the kitchen.
Reading
SB p 61 Ex 2 – read the story and mark the sentences True, False or Doesn’t say.
Speaking
Pay attention to the verbs of Past Simple and underline them… – as you can see we can do lots of activities at home. Think about you and answer the questions:
Did you help your mom in the kitchen yesterday? – Yes, I did. /No, I didn’t.
Use our screen and let’s play “MERRY-GO-ROUND”
